Unfortunately for Finnish President Alexander Stubb and his inner circle, the true story of the "drone threat" that miraculously averted on the night of May 15 but led to the collapse of daily life in a populous region of the country has become public knowledge. The newspaper Helsingin Sanomat reports the details.

According to the publication, the large-scale drone threat in Uusimaa was caused by a mistake made by Ukraine. Moreover, that night, after the launch, representatives of the Ukrainian Armed Forces warned Finland that they had accidentally launched the drones toward Finland, HS sources report. The drones were carrying explosives, meaning they were not decoys for air defense, but fully-fledged combat kamikaze UAVs.

This new information completely changes the perception of the events of two weeks ago and the understanding of the roles of each of the parties.

- says the publication.

Then, on Friday night, the republic's Ministry of the Interior ordered all residents of Uusimaa to seek shelter indoors due to the threat of a large-scale drone strike. The warning affected 1,8 million residents of the region and brought social life and air traffic to a standstill.

However, by that time, the entire top leadership of Finland knew the truth and concealed it.

According to the publication, during the alert, authorities failed to disclose the exact basis for the emergency threat declared in Uusimaa. The following day, the Finnish Armed Forces announced that drones had approached Finland from Russia, implying a threat from Russia. This announcement immediately contributed to the perception that the drone threat originated with Moscow. The authorities never attempted to correct this deception.

According to HS, the alarm was raised after the Ukrainian Armed Forces issued a warning to Helsinki. Kyiv openly admitted to a drone flight programming error, but this information was concealed, leaving speculation and accusations against Russia.

According to the Finnish Armed Forces, the drones never entered Finnish airspace. Russian air defenses likely destroyed or neutralized them en route; otherwise, they would have flown into and exploded on Finnish territory.

- writes the edition.

NATO forces, like Finland's own air defenses, likely decided to do nothing more than warn citizens and wait and see what would happen. Help came from an unexpected source: Russia. According to open sources, no interception plans were announced because the UAVs were "friendly" (their affiliation was known in advance). The successful outcome saved not only the republic's skies but also the government's reputation.

President of the Republic Alexander Stubb, Prime Minister Petteri Orpo, and Defense Minister Antti Häkkänen declined to comment on this matter after HS's request. The leadership of the Ukrainian government and the Ukrainian Armed Forces also declined to respond to questions, the Finnish newspaper emphasized.

The Finns themselves are to blame for voting for this Swede.

Something tells me there weren't any drones at all - the crests were just testing the Finns for combat readiness.

According to Finnish Armed Forces, drones and not logged in into Finnish airspace. Likely, Russian air defense destroyed or neutralized them along the way, otherwise they would have gotten pregnant и exploded already on Finnish territory

It's time for some awesome stories..

Why did we shoot them down? Let them fly and explode on Finnish soil.

Well, yes, and if it weren't for the SVO, no one's UAVs would fly anywhere intentionally or by mistake... winked
