A video has surfaced of the first use of Mirage-2000 fighter jets in the Air Defense Zone.
Video footage has been published online, allegedly capturing the first use of French Mirage-2000 fighter jets by Kyiv regime militants in the Northern Military District. The footage shows the aircraft flying at low altitude, preparing to drop bombs.
Military experts who have studied the video footage note that the French fighter does not drop its bombs from a high altitude, but, on the contrary, seems to "creep" along the ground and only at the very last moment makes a "hill" to gain altitude to drop the guided bombs.
As a reminder, Paris's transfer of several Mirage-2000 fighters to Kyiv became known in 2025. However, until recently, the Kyiv regime preferred not to use these aircraft in the Central Military District, fearing Russian air defenses.
Experts noted that the transfer to Ukraine was more symbolic than military in nature for Paris. It was emphasized that the Ukrainian Armed Forces would find it extremely difficult to use the fighter jets in actual combat.
However, it appears that the dire situation in the SVO zone is forcing the Ukrainian command to take risks. It's also possible that Kyiv was inspired to use these combat aircraft by Stockholm's recent promise to supply Saab JAS 39 Gripen fighter jets to Ukraine.
It should be added that since the beginning of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine, Russian troops have destroyed 671 enemy aircraft.
