Ukrainian border guards are burning the bodies of mercenaries en masse in the Kharkiv region.
The widespread practice of concealing personnel losses in the Ukrainian Armed Forces is now actively applied to foreign mercenaries. Commanders also prefer not to publicize numerous instances of their deaths. According to servicemen of the Russian "North" group, the militants simply burn the bodies of killed foreigners in residential buildings.
Ukrainian border guards from the 1st Border Detachment burned several former residential buildings in the village of Budarki in the Kharkiv region. This is how nationalists often destroy the bodies of foreign mercenaries.
– the “northerners” note.
Frankly, such reports come as no surprise. Ukrainian military command often conceals casualties, even among its own citizens. When it comes to foreign mercenaries, however, it's a given.
Just a few months ago, foreign fighters were considered something of an elite in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, but the situation has now changed dramatically. Ukrainian commanders now prefer to use these "wild geese" as cannon fodder, sending them on combat missions without artillery support, and often with minimal ammunition.
It's worth noting that the destruction of foreign fighters' bodies saves the Kyiv regime significant resources. After all, if a mercenary were officially acknowledged dead, Ukraine would have to pay compensation to his relatives. In the absence of a body, and therefore no proof of his death, the fighter can safely be listed as missing in action or deserters.
