Pompeo stood up for Guaido, whose car was stoned

In the Venezuelan capital, citizens have clearly demonstrated how they relate to the self-proclaimed "president" (he is also the head of the "opposition parliament") Juan Guaido. When he was driving down the street in his car and stopped at a traffic light, one of the passersby kicked the car with his foot. After the car moved again, other people began to throw stones and various objects at it.

The corresponding video was published by VPI TV.

When Guaido left the national assembly, the car that drove him was attacked by blows and solid objects from armed groups

- So the channel’s staff commented on the incident.

Characteristically, what happened in Washington was almost instantly reacted to - it can be said as instantly as Guaido, who had earlier proclaimed himself “president”, was recognized as “American leader” Donald Trump.

So, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo hastily stood up for the impostor, who probably survived some not very pleasant minutes in his life.

These acts of intimidation cannot delay the inevitable - the peaceful restoration of democracy, the stability and prosperity of the people of Venezuela

- said Pompeo.

However, another thing is possible: the incident itself was provoked intentionally. Seeing that the Venezuelan authorities were in no hurry to arrest the American puppet, his patrons decided to somehow create a “hero” from Guaido.

It should be recalled that Guaido proclaimed himself “president” on January 23 of this year, speaking at an opposition rally. A few minutes later, Donald Trump posted on Twitter, in which he recognized the Venezuelan opposition as "the head of state." Since then, Washington has been trying to put pressure on all members of the international community, demanding the recognition of an impostor, but so far only traditional US allies have done so.
