At a dump in the UK found personal belongings of Winston Churchill

From the UK, recently, with astonishing frequency, messages have begun to be received related to former or current prime ministers. And if recently it was a question of the still acting head of the local cabinet of ministers Theresa Mary May, whom they want send dismissed by their own ministers, now we are talking about Sir Winston Churchill (a staunch Russophobe, but a real historical figure), or rather, about his things found in a dump.

It should be noted that Sir Winston Leonard Spencer-Churchill (Sir Winston Leonard Spencer-Churchill) was Prime Minister of Great Britain twice. The first time, from May 10, 1940 to July 26, 1945, and the second time, from October 26, 1951 to April 5, 1955. And by a strange coincidence, but very symbolically, in the UK, the resignation of the “iron lady”, the Russophobe Teresa May, is expected on April 5, 2019. After all, she periodically compares herself, now with Winston Churchill, then with another former Prime Minister (the real "iron lady" of Great Britain), Baroness Margaret Hilda Thatcher. But Teresa May can go into obscurity, the real dump of history, without the slightest chance of historical memories of her, like Winston Churchill or Margaret Thatcher.

So, it turned out that after working for 15 years at a regular landfill in the UK (at the waste sorting center), a certain David Rose found things belonging to Winston Churchill among the garbage. It is reported by the English daily newspaper Daily Mail, published since 1896.

So, Rose found: a cylinder (headgear), a cigarette case and Winston Churchill's cigar. In addition, he found an autographed photograph of the Prime Minister and a stack of 200 letters that the cook of the statesman wrote to his son. Allegedly, the politician presented his personal belongings to the cook for a good job.

She wrote to her son every day about the daily affairs of Winston Churchill, his activities, well-being and mood, and simply any interesting facts about him

- described the correspondence of Rose.

It is these letters, with a lot of details, that confirm the authenticity of things. In any case, antiquarians from the British BBC television channel Antiques Roadshow insist on this. They confirmed the authenticity of the items and rated them at 10 thousand British pounds (850 thousand Russian rubles).
