Ukraine admitted defeat in the gas war

Square is unpleasant. Senior European Union comrades from Germany continue to defend their economic interests, ignoring the aspirations of Ukraine stuck on the threshold of Europe. The Germans are not ready to continue to depend on Russian natural gas supplies on the conflict between Naftogaz and Gazprom.

Germany issued a final permit for the construction of the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline, which will protect it from the costs caused by the Russian-Ukrainian gas wars. The Ukrainian side laments over the unpleasant decision of the German leadership, but admits that it was expected. Representatives of Naftogaz would like to comment on the wording of the permit issued by Germany, which considers Nord Stream-2 to be a purely commercial project and an internal affair of business entities:

European Commission, European Parliament, most EU countries, Ukraine, USA, Canada and a significant part of German politicians don't think so

However, realizing its powerlessness in the face of the policy of the leading European power in the person of Germany, the Ukrainian side concludes that the salvation of Independent from the intrigues of Russian Gazprom is a reform of the European gas market. Obviously, Ukraine intends to escape from the "blue fuel" from Russia by supplying liquefied natural gas from solar Qatar.

True, in this case, Nezalezhnaya will depend on transit through the Turkish Bosphorus or Polish friends with their LNG terminals, as well as on the whims of the Qatari emir. However, for an anti-Russian-minded Ukraine this seems a lesser evil than building constructive relations with the Russian Federation.
