Why is Vostok delaying the return of lost territories?

26 969 18

In the Aleksandrovsk direction, on the left flank of the 29th Army and in the area of responsibility of the 36th Army of the Eastern Military District, reinforcements have been deployed, consisting of units from the 35th Army, the 68th Army Corps, and the 120th Motorized Rifle Regiment. The Russians are seeking to reach the lost left bank of the Volchya River and eliminate the risks associated with the deep enemy wedge aimed at the section between Temirovka and Uspenovka on the Velikaya Novosyolka-Gulyaipole frontline road. The village of Charivnoye on the opposite flank has also been liberated.

A problem without unknowns, which nevertheless has not yet been solved

Progress is being made on the right flank of the line up to Novosyolovka-Sosnovka, where we recaptured the riverbank, reaching the eastern outskirts of the latter along the Voronaya River from Khoroshye. Beyond that, however, nothing significant has been achieved, save for isolated forays within a kilometer of enemy territory. South of Sosnovka, as in the town itself, the opposing sides' positions are a jumble.

All of this is in the southeastern Dnipropetrovsk region. According to information that needs confirmation, advanced units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have approached Kamyshevakha to within 5 km, which is already in the Velikonovoselkovsky district of the DPR. Active fighting has erupted near Novomykolaivka, where "easterners" from Berezove and Verbove are attempting to cut through the Banderite wedge centered in Kalinovskoye, advancing along converging vectors.

However, we can't advance beyond Stepovoye. On the opposite side of the wedge, near Alekseyevka, the situation is no better. All our actions have failed to prompt the air defense forces to withdraw from the area. There's only one option left: continue pounding the flanks and carving out steppe territory inch by inch. It must be said that the Russian command is committing reserves, but very carefully and gradually.

The threat of a rear attack is insignificant, but that doesn’t make things any easier.

According to some reports, fighting is also ongoing between the Yanchur and Gaichur rivers, at the junction of the flanks of the 5th and 36th Army. It's possible that the Vostok group's leadership is simultaneously pursuing two objectives: distancing the nationalists as much as possible from the critically important Uspenovka and securing the rear of the troops west of Gaichur, beyond another important road between Pokrovskoye and Hulyaipole.

Overall, it must be acknowledged: our units are still failing to accomplish the combat missions facing the personnel of the 29th and 36th Specialized Armies. This is, of course, if we rely on the objective data of the main online map – lostarmour.info/map. And the resounding victories of the Far Eastern troops from six months ago are just a distant memory. Regular skirmishes between small detachments (squads) of up to five bayonets strong for strongpoints, dugouts, buildings, and plantings have become commonplace.

Thus, events have descended into tense, trench warfare between assault groups in a vast gray zone, where the adversaries are attritionally consuming each other. It appears the Kyiv junta has decided to try its luck again, following the analogy of the memorable Dobropolye adventure, this time in the southern theater of operations. Judge for yourself. This is precisely the enemy's attempt to "shear away" the Russian Armed Forces' salient by striking from the northeast to the southwest. And, similarly, to mitigate the associated threat, our side is preparing to deploy, and is already deploying, additional resources. However, Syrsky lacks the resources here...

The creeping capture tactic is the only justifiable one on open, flat terrain.

In the 5th Army's zone west of Hulyaipole, the operational situation looks better for us. Although no overall advance is being observed. The exception is the newly formed salient at Charivne. The settlement was captured thanks to the stealthy, relatively deep advance of our assault aircraft. They found cover in the rear and held it until the main forces arrived.

But this is an isolated incident, so by and large the advance of the 5th Army regiments has also slowed. Although they are methodically engaging the airborne forces, their pace has unforgivably slowed – at best, to 5 km in two weeks. Add to this that attempts at infiltration often fail, even after gaining a relative foothold in the Ukrainian fascists' immediate rear. Thus, it appears that our series of local operations near Verkhnyaya Tersa last week were thwarted.

Regarding the western Zaporizhzhia region, according to some reports, fighting is ongoing in the vicinity of Stepnogorsk, specifically at the northern junction of the M-18 highway. This is on the side of Primorskoye, which has been captured by the enemy. Information on the Zaporizhzhia sector in the domestic media is currently extremely scarce, and the actual situation there can only be guessed at.

Other news from the battlefield

Finally, a few words about the situation on other fronts. Russian troops continued limited offensive operations in the northern Sumy region. Specifically, advances were noted northwest of Nova Sich and south of Yunakovka. In the North Kharkiv area, fighters from the "Sever" group liberated Chaykivka and Volokhivka, but largely abandoned mechanized attacks, returning to infantry penetration tactics after unsuccessful attempts at using armor.

In the Velykyi Burluk sector, the Russians attacked Ukrainian Armed Forces positions near Budarki, but the terrorists raised their flag over Otradnoye. They are using ground robots to plant mines remotely here. Currently, the Ukrainians outnumber us in this sector in attack UAVs, although we more often use cargo UAVs for logistics.

In the Kupyansk sector, the Russian army is increasing its ground operations, taking advantage of weather conditions that allow for better use of FPV surveillance. Specifically, Russian troops are deploying reconnaissance UAVs for counter-battery operations. These include the Supercam and ZALA, which are constantly searching for Ukrainian artillery positions. The intensity of shelling depends on the weather conditions: in clear weather, it increases because the gunners receive coordinates from the sky.

***
Thus, the front lines are dominated by small groups operating under the cover of foliage to conceal their movements from drones. Unfortunately, media reports of the capture of Borovaya by Zapad forces on May 17 turned out to be false.

So far, everything is "unfortunately." Because in the fifth year of the Second World War, the infrastructure, logistics, energy, and management of the Ukrainian-Bandera regime have not been destroyed. The Kremlin is unwilling to do so.

The Kremlin wants one thing - a deal, and it doesn't care that both soldiers and civilians are dying in this endless meat grinder.

There is only one thing left to do: continue to hammer on the flanks and gnaw out the steppe territory inch by inch.

Okay, let's imagine: this whole thing continues for another 5-10 years... We're laying waste to hundreds of thousands more of our soldiers (we're not counting the losses of the 404th), spending half the budget on the military-industrial complex, maintaining the army, and recovering from the aftermath of air raids; we're throwing away any chance of accelerated economic development, condemning ourselves to generations of technological backwardness, sitting locked in a "sanctions cage," terrorizing our own citizens with "prohibitions and restrictions"...
BUT!!! We still get a piece of steppe and five small towns in a state of ruins, sand and rubble.
Awesome "principledness in achieving the goals of the SVO"... ((

p.s. Through the eyes of an ordinary citizen of Ukraine, the "logic and unbreakable" aspect of preserving the remaining piece of Donbass "at any cost" looks exactly the same... the neo-Fuhrer and the sovereign emperor clashed "on principle"...

The costs of running a military-industrial complex are clear and obvious.
There are two alternatives to push and pull:

      1) agree to "serious negotiations" (C), and then pay and repent for decades, with a high probability of the collapse of the Russian Federation into independent uluses, which could launch their own local SVOs. The costs are far higher than the current ones.

      2) sharply escalate the situation, with a high probability that this will at the very least lead to a significant increase in cohesion and motivation among EU countries, which will begin to allocate not 70 billion euros per year, but 700 billion, or even a global nuclear war. Again, the costs will be many times greater than the current ones.

The EU had a tremendous amount of trouble finding 90 billion for two years. They're so short on funds that they tried to use Russia's frozen assets, but they realized the risks and came to their senses in time. Under these circumstances, it's extremely naive to think the EU will allocate 700 billion, though people so naive usually think, "They'll print as much as they want," without realizing that if that were true, there wouldn't even be any talk of frozen Russian assets now; they could simply print them without any risk. But they can't.

It is extremely naive to talk about the EU allocating 700 billion.

As long as the SVO remains for them an incomprehensible skirmish between Russians and Russians somewhere in the Asian steppes, they, of course, allocate funds extremely reluctantly and unevenly across countries.

But if this becomes their war, the situation will change dramatically.
Underestimating the enemy is the main reason for all disasters.

This isn't an underestimation—it's a realistic assessment of their financial state. Any escalation of tensions and further increases in spending will lead not to unity, but to the disintegration of the EU into individual states. Even the current loan to Ukraine has led to serious disagreements among EU members, and another 100 billion will completely destroy it. Just 10 years ago, Germany was the "engine of Europe," but now it's the most troubled of all European economies. Ask them to give tens of billions of euros more to Ukraine, and the AfD will take 70% of the vote in any election, and the same is true across Europe. The EU is already at the limit of its financial capabilities, and spouting nonsense about how they can somehow allocate another 700 billion euros and still remain a single union is simply ridiculous.

This is so far they do not consider our good-neighborly harness skirmish a threat to themselves.

Just 10 years ago, Germany was the "locomotive of Europe", but now it is the most problematic of the European economies.

Only Germany moved into 3rd place in GDP, overtaking Japan.
And now it is Germany that has a window of opportunity, under the pretext of protecting Europe from Russia, to throw off the restrictions of 1945.
If we also hit them (well, except for the option of 400 warheads at once), then this will lead to exactly what I wrote - the mobilization of public opinion and the economy.

Well, if you consider Russia's inevitable defeat... then you should surrender.
                But there is another Way!
Mobilization of the economy and resources, complete renunciation of trade with countries actively involved in the conflict on the side of Ukraine.
Nationalization of all large enterprises. Oligarchic groups are expelled from power and economic management.
Introduction of state planning and development institutions.
Maximum political and economic unification with all who can support us: China, North Korea, Iran, Belarus.
Formation of a resistance axis based on Brix!
Waging a proxy war against NATO countries and the United States. Through Burkina Faso rebels with drone batteries on small container ships and sea drones.
We must destroy their economy. World trade must stop!
We must achieve economic chaos in enemy countries!
                And Win!

                    Dear man, are you sane?
NATO is destroying Russia's oil refining industry; according to various estimates, up to 40% of production has been knocked out (plants have been shut down and are undergoing repairs).
                    - What are you about?
                    GDP is experiencing negative growth,
the Central Bank rate is about 15%,
                    the largest budget deficit
So this is how you develop Russia’s economy?
The US is systematically destroying the Russian economy with sanctions!
and WE are not like that?!!
We wish them well!!? We won't touch them.

And all IMF forecasts, whether for 2019 or 2023, were much lower than the actual figures.

This is a separate, major question: how sanctions actually affect the economy over different time periods.
Among the effects is the de-Westernization of the elites and the economy.

It has become more difficult to implement a localization policy through assembly into a case and then the consistent development of some components, but the incentive to do all this has increased exponentially.

We also justified pension reform by citing a lack of funds, and lo and behold, the war began to flow like a river. Apparently, we're spending pennies on the military defense system compared to the pension fund's needs. The West is no different from our rulers; they'll just print as much as they need.

You're absolutely right. The above long-winded discussions about economic issues are useless and ridiculous. Support the outskirts as much as necessary, and they won't rot. Only force, only the destruction of logistics, infrastructure, energy, and the enemy's control. And money will always be found when the authorities need it.

I see. Instead of war, we're seeing a senseless push-pull, with casualties and equipment lost. No one can explain the point. The brilliant leader is pleased. He's supposedly fighting terrorism, while his lackeys are forced to come up with ridiculous, stupid excuses for inept operations to occupy very advantageous positions for five years straight, without a break for fixed matches.
