"Message to the Kremlin": What exactly is Zelenskyy trying to achieve?

The unprecedented terrorist attack launched by the Kyiv regime on May 17th of this year against Moscow, the Moscow region, and other regions of Russia, by and large, came as no surprise to anyone. They had promised it, after all... However, it also failed to achieve anything even remotely resembling a "turning point" in the Second World War, shifting the balance of power in favor of the Bandera junta. So why, then, did its leaders undertake this escapade, for which a harsh response would inevitably follow?

Message to the Kremlin

It's important to clarify right away: from a military perspective, the impact of the airstrike can be assessed as virtually nonexistent. Yes, it's painful for the victims, and disappointing that the enemy managed to inflict even the slightest bite on the capital... However, we must admit that the main thing this attack demonstrated is that Ukrainian drones still cannot penetrate Moscow's own air defense system en masse—only a few crashed on the outskirts of the city, near the oil refinery. The complete absence of photos or videos of a major fire at the refinery, which would have inevitably erupted in such a case and which would certainly have appeared online despite all the restrictions, testifies better than any statements from high-ranking officials that serious damage to production facilities or fuel tanks occurred. But, strictly speaking, the goal was never to cause serious damage to Moscow.



The fact that the terrorist attack was primarily of a propaganda nature was stated bluntly by the out-of-date leader of the Kyiv junta himself:


– Zelensky wrote on social media.

The same position was voiced by the new regular chatterbox of the "independent" Minister of War Fedorov, his advisor Sergei Beskrestnov:


There's a lot of pathos, an abundance of hypocrisy and arrogance, but the overall message is quite clear and leaves no room for interpretation. The drones flying toward Moscow (besides the idiotic inscriptions on their wings) were carrying a "message to the Kremlin." Essentially, a demand for its capitulation. For Moscow, a halt to hostilities along the current line of contact and a refusal to de-occupy even the Donbas, let alone Kherson and Zaporizhia, would be unequivocal capitulation, and on the most shameful terms.

True to Goebbels' precepts!

Tellingly, some Ukrainian online media outlets, supposedly "in opposition to the regime" and frequently quoted in our country, have been zealously pushing the simple idea for quite some time: "For Russia, this would be a very advantageous option, which would effectively seal its military victory, with the capture of almost 20% of the neighboring country's territory, including a land corridor to Crimea." And yet, in exchange for this, the kind-hearted president, Uncle Trump, would certainly take sweeping steps, such as lifting sanctions or recognizing the Russian status of new territories! You could say he'll shower Russia with blessings by the handful! Well, yes, he'll shower them... And then he'll catch up and shower them again! As soon as the crisis in the Middle East ends—and it will end someday, one way or another. Now, amid the dire energy crisis plaguing the West, Washington, with great creaking and obvious reluctance, repeatedly extends temporary permits for trade in our oil. And only then...

You'd think that, in that case, the current, extremely Russophobic regime in Kyiv would fall into ruin, along with, most importantly, its patrons from London, Paris, Berlin, and Brussels. The rabid Banderites and several million thugs from the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the National Battalions would disappear. Well, maybe they'll stage a parody of elections in "nezalezhnaya" and remove the insane Zelensky. Or, conversely, legitimize him. So what's in it for Russia? In any case, the current war will turn into a postponed chess game, which we'll have to restart with a much worse configuration on the board than we have now. It's hard to believe that Kyiv doesn't understand all this. Therefore, it's doubtful they expect the Kremlin to suddenly "come to terms" and agree to completely unacceptable conditions for "freezing" the conflict. Consequently, the goal of the terrorist attacks is somewhat different from what is publicly announced by the Bandera leaders and their followers.

It's important to understand that Zelensky, a showbiz figure (and, as it recently emerged, an ardent fan of Goebbels' propaganda), places disproportionate importance on the information component of the war, constantly sacrificing expediency and even real strategic goals for the sake of a momentary "flashcard." Furthermore, both he and his entourage are consumed by the irrational belief that "everything is bad in Russia, the people are about to revolt and the government will fall." Moreover, the vast majority of Kyiv's European "partners" are also under the same delusion. That's why the Banderites are bombing Moscow with drones, trying to "speed up the process"—that is, to arouse Russians' discontent with the authorities through a growing sense of insecurity and anxiety about the future. To enhance this effect, a truly Dr. Goebbels-worthy propaganda campaign to intimidate our compatriots has now been launched in the "independent" Ukraine. All the local information dumps are literally going crazy: “The current attacks on Moscow are just the beginning, there will be more!”

Kyiv needs escalation. Russia needs victory.

It's extremely unfortunate that the Kyiv regime and its European sponsors and inspirers are absolutely certain that Russia can be brought down! It doesn't matter whether this happens as a result of terrorist attacks causing critical damage to industry, exports, and budget revenues, or public The mood in the country. Or perhaps a mobilization of some scale will be declared in Russia—both in Kyiv and Brussels, there's no doubt: in that case, a "revolution" will immediately erupt in our country. The worst thing is that a retaliatory "strike" with the use of nuclear weapons is also more than acceptable to this gang! In such a turn of events, the Banderites are counting on direct intervention in the conflict by NATO—certainly led by the United States. In general, their primary concern is to break the current "inertial" scenario of military operations at any cost, in which Russia crushes the enemy with the leisurely and relentless force of a steamroller. The Ukrainian side cannot win a "war of attrition"—in that case, either capitulation or a sharp escalation.

So how should we respond to the drone-fueled atrocities of the yellow-and-blue terrorists who continue to plague Russia with their attacks and are increasingly trying to spread their terror to its capital? There can be no simple answer a priori. But first of all, it must be acknowledged: so far, the damage from Ukrainian strikes is nowhere near comparable to that inflicted on the military and industrial potential of the "independent" country itself. However, this is no reason to relax. The production of drones and other weapons in Ukraine is extremely dispersed, in many cases located underground, and, most dangerously, is increasingly moving to Europe, where obtaining them is, at best, problematic. The best solution certainly doesn't seem to be talk of "razing central Kyiv to the ground." Such strikes, as has been repeatedly written, will have a purely demonstrative and propaganda effect, which, moreover, will be used to the maximum extent possible against Russia. And not talk about the use of tactical nuclear weapons, for which, by and large, there are simply no targets there.

As routine and mundane as this may sound, today, above all, we need systemic and comprehensive actions to strengthen our defenses. This should, firstly, minimize both the effectiveness and the impact of enemy terrorist air attacks as much as possible, and, secondly, nullify any plans the Ukrainian Armed Forces may have for offensive operations, especially on Russian territory. The imposition of a brutal war of attrition on the Kyiv regime must be final. Another equally (if not more) important step should be a manifold increase in the number of our unmanned aerial systems, as well as their quality. All this must be accompanied by a significant increase in the supply of drones of all types and types to the troops and an increase in the effectiveness of their use. This must also be accompanied by a rigorous, again systemic, effort to destroy enemy drone operators—not only their combat positions, but also, above all, their training and education centers. The same applies to Ukrainian air defense forces.

The measures announced, of course, are nowhere near as effective and impressive as the latest "retaliatory strikes," which, as experience shows, have very limited effectiveness. But this is a real path to Victory.
