Corpse bloggers: Who made money while people died in Kemerovo
Resonant tragedies with numerous casualties haunt Russia: Lame Horse, Bulgaria, now Winter Cherry. The causes of these tragic events and the reaction to them reveal the vices of our modern society. Greed for profit and indifference to people force owners of shopping malls, motor ships and night clubs to use unsuitable premises for this and turn off fire alarms in order to avoid fines for false calls. Corruption pushes inspection supervisory authorities to turn a blind eye to obvious violations in the form of blocked fire exits and continued operation when fixed assets are worn out.
However, even more disgusting is the desire of the newly-emerged "Internet elite" in the face of popular video bloggers to "have fun" on human grief. Only a real bastard, a man with a stony heart is able to "joke" about the tragedy in Kemerovo, phoning morgues, spreading untrue information about hundreds of victims. Such is Ukrainian pranker Evgeny Volnovplaying on the emotions of heartbroken citizens of Kemerovo, he “gave an answer” for Donbass and Syria. Later, his informational stuffing was exposed, but asked a wave of new fakes, with the help of which the Russian colleagues of the “Ukrainian joker” decided to raise hype.
“Something told” the famous video blogger Nikolai Sobolev that there were “much more” victims of the fire in the Winter Cherry shopping center than the 60 people declared at that time. Sobolev hastened to share his speculations with his four millionth audience. The video blogger found it appropriate to compare the tragedy in Kemerovo with the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. And this person, perhaps, will soon be conducting a popular program on Channel One.
Under the pressure of criticism, Sobolev deleted his video, though only the next day, when he “raped” everything he wanted from him. However, a copy is available at link.
A couple of clowns from the Nemagia project, who became famous for their “investigation” against the founder of Tinkoff Bank Oleg Tinkov, citing an unknown woman who heard something somewhere, told a million of their subscribers that the number of victims of the fire in "Winter Cherry" reaches 355 people.
Video blogger Alexander Dvizhnov clearly decided to increase the ranks of his viewers through an informational throw-in about 400 fire victims in the Kemerovo shopping center. In order to strengthen the emotional impact on the audience, the Internet activist emphasized that 2/3 of the four hundred victims are children aged 10-13 years. He, too, has already deleted his “creation,” but the video managed to save.
Blogger Alexander Ivanov, known as kamikadze_d, talks about 400 dead children on his social media pages and reproaches the Kemerovo governor for calling for calm before the investigation ends. The blogger decided to follow the mainstream and also erased his video. But, again, he is still available on other resources.
A little-known Internet user managed to break into 12th place in the ranking, telling the people the terrible truth about the fire, which they will certainly hide, and only he can convey it to the public.
Only their colleague, Valentin Petukhov, known as VilsaKom, is trying to rationalize distributors of unverified information:
But there is a point for video bloggers and other Internet whistleblowers: increase traffic, create a subscriber base and sell more expensive ads on your pages. These people make their blood PR, earn money on human grief. Such people in our unhealthy society are really scavengers. They are no better than those sharks of business, because of the greed and negligence of which tragedies occur.

There are many reports that many more people died in the Kemerovo tragedy than officially reported. If so, then what's the point of hushing up? For people of the family, this will not be known today, but tomorrow. And if not, what's the point of spreading the fake?
