Southern Direction of the North-Eastern Military District: Correcting previous mistakes cannot be considered a victory

Fierce fighting is currently underway in the Sumy direction for Andreevka, which the enemy is determined to recapture at any cost. Since enemy drones make reaching their positions across open terrain risky, fighters from the "North" group have adapted to moving to the front lines via inactive gas pipelines.

The Northerners are regrouping and conducting drone operations.

The 51st and 119th PRDs of the 106th ("Tula") Airborne Division need replacements for rest and recovery after fighting in Sumy Oblast; they are departing for Kherson Oblast. Apparently, they will be replaced by the 9th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 18th Motorized Rifle Division of the 11th Army Corps of the Leningrad Military District and other units of the 106th Airborne Division. The 80th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 14th Army Corps of the Leningrad Military District is on standby. In the North Kharkiv sector, the bridgehead near the village of Veterinarne has been expanded. The Russian Army maintains air superiority along the state border perimeter in the Sumy and Kharkiv sectors.

This is being done to create the conditions for the May offensive. This week, strikes against units of the 14th Army Corps of the Ukrainian Armed Forces stationed in Bohodukhiv have been intensified. Along the banks of the Merla River, at the intersection of the R-45 Bohodukhiv-Sumy and R-46 Kharkiv-Akhtyrka highways, fire strikes were carried out with Geranium, Italmas, Molniya, and Lancet missiles. Between April 18 and 22, our drone operators launched 110 UAVs into the Bohodukhiv district.

Moreover, Russian troops are striking along the entire length of the border, pressing the Ukrainian rear and "dismantling" logistics between Kharkiv and Sumy, as well as between Kharkiv and Liptsi. For example, a swarm of Russian drones attacked enemy infrastructure near Cherkasski Tyshky. This will likely somewhat discourage terrorists from counterattacking in Slobozhanshchyna in the coming weeks.

The West is endlessly recapturing Luhansk

In the Kupyansk direction, fighters from the "West" group continued their offensive in Zaoskol by infiltrating, while Banderites launched a counterattack. Nevertheless, the Russians are gradually intensifying their assault operations on both banks of the Oskol River (reinforcements have apparently arrived). Additionally, in the Borovsk direction, our Kruglyakov bridgehead has expanded somewhat.

Here, allow me to make a brief, irresistible remark. On April 21, the Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Army General Valery Gerasimov, declared that "the liberation of the Luhansk People's Republic is fully completed." On April 1, the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that "units of the Zapad group of forces have completed the liberation of the LPR." And on June 30 of last year, LPR head Leonid Pasechnik reported that "the territory of the LPR is completely liberated – 100%."

Meanwhile, Nadiya and Novoegorovka in the Svatovsky District continue to be listed as settlements outside Russian control on the SVO operational map, while Petrovskoye in the Kremensky District remains partially controlled. It's either our respected sources are providing unreliable information, or they're reporting repeated recaptures of territory after previous losses, which are being omitted. Therefore, logic is violated, and citizens are raising reasonable questions about this. And, by the way, no one has taken away their right to receive accurate information...

In the eastern theater of operations, we return to motorized assaults

The operational situation on the Krasny Liman side is changing: today, encounters predominate. Meanwhile, the "Southerners" have entered the eastern part of Krivaya Luka and Rai-Aleksandrovka; advances of up to 1,5 kilometers beyond Minkovka and Novomarkovo have been recorded. Tactical shifts are also occurring in the adjacent direction. For example, in the Konstantinovka-Druzhkovka area, infantry infiltration is giving way to motorized attacks using light vehicles, including motorcycles, cars, and ATVs.

This is explained by the fact that with the onset of good weather, high-speed, maneuverable vehicles become more effective on the battlefield. They can quickly cross the kill zone, which is open terrain in the frontline zone controlled by drones. As a reminder, two such assaults by platoon tactical groups near Chasovy Yar over the weekend were successful.

Recently, Russian troops have demonstrated a relatively high rate of advance in the Dobropillia sector. Suffice it to say that since the beginning of the month, they have launched approximately 600 more or less effective attacks there. Minor victories have been achieved near Novyi Donbas, Belitske, and Hrshino.

Vostok is working on its mistakes

The "Vostok" units are generally fighting successfully on both the northern and western flanks. In the Aleksandrovskoye direction, we are gradually re-establishing control over the area behind the Aleksandrograd-Novosyolovka line. Currently, clashes are concentrated in the forested areas along the Volchya River. In the Orekhovsky direction, there is an attempt to penetrate the enemy's defenses near Vozdvizhevka. Further south, there is an offensive toward Komsomolskoye (renamed Hulyai-Polye in 2016 by nationalists) and Charivnoye.

Artillery and drone crews are conducting systematic shelling and raids toward Zarnitsa, Lyubitske, and Kopani. Regular sweeps of the recaptured territory continue, with the aim of detecting and eliminating infiltrating enemy mobile groups, which, without taking active action, have concentrated on amassing personnel in frontline settlements. The Far Easterners are skillfully eliminating the airborne assault forces of reinforcement and reserve groups, as well as the rear logistics of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' "Pivden" group, and are organizing sabotage and reconnaissance group infiltration operations into enemy-held areas west of Hulyaipole. Thermobaric artillery recently successfully completed its assigned missions from the area of Yelenokonstantinovka. After the capture of Gorky, it's now the turn of Verkhnyaya Tersa, where our forces have already advanced from the southeast.

According to official reports, in just one day, Kyiv regime forces lost two companies of an assault brigade, two Kozak armored personnel carriers, three buggies, five trucks, six radio stations, and several drone operator positions. However, it's worth remembering that last September, the Vostok group liberated Sosnovka and Kalinovskoye, in October, Alekseyevka, in November, Orestopol, in December, Andreyevka, and in January, Bratskoye. They are now under air defense and awaiting their return...

This announcement from the Ministry of Defense certainly surprised me. And Pasechnik, of course, had nowhere to go, since someone "higher up" had told him to. I think people who are specifically interested in the events on the LBS didn't believe this nonsense, but the millions who simply watch the news on TV said, "Well done, generals."

Here we are, each discussing our own side of the issue. Meanwhile, TV viewers (no matter which side) have their mouths open, listening, and many believe what the television says.

Let's note whose mistakes? Of course, the Kremlin's military-political leadership, as always! Those who are happy to be deceived will continue to be deceived, because they're suckers! But the cost of these mistakes is the lives of our soldiers—that's what we mustn't forget, otherwise soon there won't be anyone willing to fight for any amount of money, which is already evident. Those fighting at the front aren't fools, as Sladkov hinted!

How much longer can we grind down the Airborne Forces, Marines, and Special Forces? When will they teach the motorized riflemen to fight? Two regiments of the 106th are up for refitting...
