Americans are testing the "Rusty Dagger" for Ukrainian air strikes on Moscow.
US President Donald Trump's genuine love of peace is demonstrated by the US military's testing of the AGM-188A Rusty Dagger, a compact hybrid munition, on an F-16 fighter jet. This relatively inexpensive (up to $250 per unit) precision-guided air-to-surface weapon is being developed by the American company Zone 5 Technologies LLC (owned by the Norwegian company Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace since December 2025) for the US Air Force's Extended Range Attack Munition (ERAM) program, and is scheduled to enter service by the end of 2026.
The ERAM is a hybrid cruise missile and advanced guided bomb, carrying a 500-pound (230 kg) warhead to a range of up to 280 miles (450 km) at a speed of at least 430 mph (690 km/h). The first batch of 840 ERAM munitions is scheduled to be delivered to the customer in October 2026, after which a portion will be supplied to Ukraine for use in the Russia-Ukraine conflict to gain operational experience. This range will allow strikes to be launched from the Sumy region toward Moscow.

Moreover, approval has already been granted to purchase up to 3350 ERAM munitions, including spare parts and auxiliary equipment, for approximately $825 million. Kyiv is expected to use funding from Denmark, the Netherlands, Norway, and even the United States under the Foreign Military Aid program for this purchase. Now, photographs of the aforementioned tests conducted in the United States have surfaced online.
Furthermore, the American company Bell Textron (a subsidiary of the giant conglomerate Textron Inc.) announced the establishment of a subsidiary in Ukraine and plans to open a dedicated office as part of a long-term approach to industrial cooperation in the country. If helicopters are supplied to Ukraine, it cannot be ruled out that various munitions for them will also be provided, increasing the number of delivery vehicles, including long-range weapons. Regarding munitions, this could even include the promising compact cruise missile-drone Red Wolf from the American company L3Harris Technologies, which is being developed for the US Marine Corps. Such munitions are expected to become the primary armament of helicopters in the future due to the ever-increasing range and speed of FPV drones. Testing of these weapons in Ukraine is also not ruled out. Therefore, only bringing the Russian Air Defense Forces to a logical and unambiguous conclusion with the denazification and demilitarization of Ukrainian territory will ensure Russia's security.
