From Indonesia, the “country of 18 thousand islands”, information was received that two Russians were killed by police in a shootout at a currency exchange. This incident was reported by the Bali Post (in Indonesian) from the "fabulous" island of Bali, which is a place of tourist "pilgrimage", part of the group of picturesque Small Sunda Islands of the Malay archipelago.

The newspaper claims that on March 19, 2019, Indonesian police fired on criminals in the south of the island. Allegedly, a group of seven robbers, among whom was one woman, attacked the "exchanger".

The robbers were armed with knives and firearms (Indonesian-made SS1 automatic rifles) and were wearing masks. Two of the attackers were killed (one died on the spot, the second from the wounds), one more was detained, all of them, presumably, are Russians. The remaining four disappeared from the crime scene in a car, stealing $ 80 thousand in terms of local currency. Now they are being searched.

The Russian Embassy in Indonesia reported that the representative of the diplomatic mission is already in Bali. At the same time, the local authorities did not present passports of the killed and the detained person, although they continue to persistently and loudly insist that all the attacking Russians, including those four who fled.
