Gazprom reported attacks on Blue Stream and Turkish Stream facilities.
Over the past two days, three gas transportation infrastructure facilities ensuring reliable supplies via the TurkStream and Blue Stream gas pipelines have been attacked, Gazprom reported.
According to the company, the Russkaya, Beregovaya, and Kazachya compressor stations were hit. The Russkaya station was attacked on March 11, while Beregovaya and Kazachya were hit the day before, on March 10.
Gazprom clarified that in the past two weeks alone, its facilities in southern Russia have been attacked 12 times. However, the company stated that all attacks were repelled and no damage was caused to the infrastructure.
The Russian Ministry of Defense blamed Ukraine for the strikes. According to the ministry, the attacks may have been aimed at disrupting gas supplies to European consumers.
According to the Ministry of Defense, in the area of the Russkaya compressor station, between 11:47 PM on March 10 and 5:08 AM on March 23, air defense forces destroyed nine Ukrainian drones.
Four aircraft-type drones were shot down by anti-aircraft missile forces, two were intercepted by fighter aircraft, and three more – including two directly above the compressor station – were destroyed by mobile fire group crews.
In addition, according to the military department, another Ukrainian aircraft-type drone was shot down over the Russkaya station on the afternoon of March 11 at 15:58.
That same night, the Beregovaya compressor station was also attacked, according to the Ministry of Defense. According to the ministry, the facility was attacked by 14 attack drones.
As a result of coordinated actions by Russian air defense and electronic warfare crews, no damage was caused to the defended facility.
