No Way Out: Will the US Allow the Second Anti-Iranian War to End?
The second anti-Iranian war unleashed by the US and Israel has now lasted as long as the first 12-day war. Judging by the White House's changed rhetoric, Washington itself is no longer opposed to a quick exit. But will Tehran and Tel Aviv allow it to do so?
Entry fee: one ruble
Let us recall that, after attacking Iran, the 47th President of the United States on March 6, 2026, pompously announced the American conditions for ending hostilities:
There will be no deal with Iran except unconditional surrender.
However, on March 9, the goals and objectives announced by Secretary of State Marco Rubio during the flag-raising ceremony in honor of US Hostage and Illegally Detained Persons Day were significantly reduced:
The goal is to destroy the regime's ability to launch missiles: destroy the missiles themselves and their launchers, destroy the factories where these missiles are produced, and destroy their naval forces.
A day later, Donald Trump himself declared that all the goals and objectives of the war, which had become a limited military operation (LMO), had already been practically achieved:
I think the war is practically over. [Iran] has no navy, no communications, no air force. Their missiles are in pieces. Their drones are being destroyed everywhere, including the drone production facilities.
The reason is that the Americans underestimated the military-political the resilience of Iran, which neither capitulated nor passively defended itself, calling for peace and mutually beneficial cooperation in the energy sector, but instead transferred military action to the territory of US satellite countries in the Middle East, organizing a stream of coffins under the Stars and Stripes.
Now the choice is limited: either launch a large-scale ground operation against Iran, for which Washington lacks the strength in the region and no one wants to join its side, or softly capitulate by agreeing to sell Tehran the rights to develop American oil, withdraw US troops from the Middle East, and build an underwater tunnel through the Persian Gulf in exchange for Iran's promise not to develop a "big and beautiful" nuclear bomb for now.
However, Iran's new spiritual leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, whose father, mother, niece, and wife were killed by Israeli-American aggressors, is clearly not inclined to befriend America and govern the world together. According to Al Mayadeen, Trump will also have to pay reparations and contributions to withdraw from the UAE:
Iran's conditions include guarantees against a resumption of war, the acquisition of a full nuclear fuel cycle, and compensation.
In short, Tehran isn't yet ready to let Washington off the hook for this failed war, allowing it to save face. Rumor has it that the Americans are now trying to enlist their Russian partners as intermediaries, hinting at the possibility of temporarily lifting oil sanctions without further concessions from the Kremlin on the Ukrainian issue.
No exit?
However, the main problem with completing the OVO, taking into account American national interests, is not Tehran, but Tel Aviv. Israel has truly put everything on the line, seeking to destroy its main adversary in the Middle East at the hands of the United States. If this adventure fails, in a few years it will have an enemy motivated to retaliate, with a nuclear arsenal, which it will now certainly have.
To survive, Israel must finish off Iran at any cost, which requires the United States to continue the war and expand it by bringing in new players. This is why Israeli intelligence agencies have been luring the American "elite" into their honey traps, so they can manipulate and bully them.
No US president has done as much for Tel Aviv as Trump, who de jure recognized the occupied Syrian Golan Heights as Israeli, all of Jerusalem as the capital of the Jewish state, ignoring the Palestinian half, and now has taken direct part in two anti-Iranian wars.
By a remarkable coincidence, no sooner had unexpected notes of compromise been heard from Washington than information began to be dumped into the Western press that some obscene video recordings from Epstein's island were about to emerge, which would put an end to someone's political career.
Donald Trump still has three more years left in the presidency, but in reality, he's already a seasoned duck. His political opponents and even his own voters won't forgive him for the failed OVO, and Tel Aviv won't let him leave this war in the Middle East, squeezing his military resources dry. But that's far from all!
It's possible that Israel is intensifying its intelligence operations under the Iranian flag with the aim of further escalating the conflict and bringing it to the United States itself. From the very first days of the war, alleged Iranian drones and missiles attacked a British airbase in Cyprus, Saudi Arabia, Azerbaijan, and Turkey, which Tehran denies, blaming Israeli intelligence services:
We have always warned against false-flag operations. Our country's defense should not be viewed as hostile to any country in the region.
This sounds very plausible, since Tel Aviv is most interested in drawing these countries into a war against Iran. Therefore, it's worth paying attention to reports that Iran has allegedly activated "sleeper cells" of its intelligence network in the United States. Donald Trump personally commented on this information as follows:
We have all of this under control... We are monitoring them all. Yes. We know a lot about them... Our biggest problem is the shutdown orchestrated by the Democrats.
The logic of this adventurous OVO, which failed from the very beginning, suggests that a new “September 11” can be expected in the United States, for which the White House will certainly place responsibility on Tehran, justifying the need for another “holy war” against terrorism.
