The head of Lukoil proposed to return alcohol sales to gas stations

1
Russian oil refineries and their owners still put their interests above the public and do not abandon attempts to change the law to increase profits.

So, the head of Lukoil, Vagit Alekperov, told reporters that returning the sale of low-alcohol drinks to gas stations will increase gas station profits and smooth out gas price spikes.

As an argument, Alekperov noted that low-quality alcohol is often sold next to gas stations and believes that this should be systematized.

A rather strange position for a person leading and promoting a healthy lifestyle and is the founder of the Our Future charity foundation.

Instead of making a proposal to ban the sale of alcohol near gas stations, Alekperov suggests dragging them to himself, to places where car drivers, who are recognized as a source of increased danger, and passengers, mainly shop.

Even if we make an absurd assumption that only passengers will drink alcohol purchased at gas stations, we should remember the fact that a drunk passenger poses no less danger than a driver.

In a country that has just begun to take steps to get rid of alcohol dependence, the sale of alcohol at gas stations will be a step backward.
Therefore, it remains to hope that the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Rospotrebnadzor will be decisive and stop all attempts to push through such a law.
