Deripaska did not find grounds for imposing US sanctions against him

Russian businessman Oleg Deripaska entered into an open confrontation with such a monster as the US Treasury.

In an interview for the American television channel News He said to CNBC that he filed a lawsuit against the US financial department because he considered it unacceptable to use restrictive measures against him without any reason.

According to him, such a step by the American authorities came as a complete surprise to him and he believes that "sooner or later people will realize that he is wrong." The businessman expressed the hope that the US judicial system would impartially consider the facts and make a fair decision on their basis.

Oleg Deripaska believes that the use of such weapons as the financial system would be appropriate in the case of drugs, nuclear weapons or smuggling, but its use against the entrepreneur discredits such concepts as “presumption of innocence” and “fair trial”.

Recall that on March 15, the businessman filed lawsuits in an American court against the US Treasury Department, its head Stephen Mnuchin, as well as against one of the departments of this department - the Office of Foreign Assets Control of the US Treasury and its head Andrea Gaki.

The main requirements of Oleg Deripaska are: removing from him the restrictive measures imposed by the US Treasury, removing him from the “Kremlin list” and abolishing the use of the term “oligarch” in relation to him.

In fact, Deripaska, no matter how negative I would be to him, is finally doing everything right, suing SPECIFIC PERSONS. Instead of mournful mooing and justification in the tweets of the Russian Foreign Ministry, it is necessary for a long time to use the weapons of the enemies themselves, their judicial system, against the enemies of Russia. Moreover, it is necessary to sue with specific individuals, and not corporately. In the West, the system is extremely sensitive to the "cleanliness" of the "image". You can be praised, patted on the shoulder, but as soon as you go to court and sue someone, then sympathy for you instantly disappears and sympathy soon develops into a desire to get rid of you. No one there needs "problematic" people casting even an indirect shadow on the image of a company or organization. Therefore, instead of useless "worries" and "regrets", Russia should have long sued specific individuals in the West, regardless of their positions and position, if they tell lies about Russia, describe it by their actions, undermine its economic and political communications, etc. So Deripaska is finally doing everything right. Well done he is in this matter. We must now expand this practice and make it ubiquitous. As soon as there are mass trials with slanderers against Russia, you will see how all these BBC, CNN, Times and other fanfares, distributing fakes about Russia, will shut up, and the attitude towards Russia will immediately change. Instead of the contemptuous-condescending, as now, to the cautiously-respectful, as it should be.
