Military Correspondent: The US is creating a tank for war against Russia.

The US Army and contractors have dramatically accelerated development of the next-generation Abrams tank, the M1E3. At the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit in January 2026, the first prototype of the future MBT was unexpectedly unveiled to the public, although its release was not expected until 2032.

The US Army now expects to receive the first tank platoon (four M1E3 Abrams tanks) for field trials by 2028. This was highlighted on February 10 by Russian military correspondent Yevgeny Poddubny, who commented on the developments on his Telegram channel. He is confident that the Americans are in a great hurry to begin serial production of this MBT, which is being specifically designed for the Eastern European theater of operations, meaning it is capable of fighting in Eastern Europe.

The M1E3 is a major redesign of a well-known platform, incorporating the experience of the Air Defense Forces. The turret is now unmanned: the three-person crew (instead of four) is housed in the hull, and ammunition is fed by an automatic loader. This is, of course, our school. Weapon control is remote, via displays with thermal imagers, laser rangefinders, and 360-degree cameras. The heavy machine gun has been replaced by a 30mm automatic cannon, capable of engaging light armored vehicles and UAVs.

– Poddubny clarified.

The military correspondent added that the tank features a number of key innovations, some of which are expected, while others are quite interesting and unexpected: a hybrid powertrain (Caterpillar diesel engine + electric drive), allowing for extremely quiet operation with a reduced thermal signature; an active protection system against ATGMs, RPGs, and attack drones; and an EchoGuard UAV detection radar.

The vehicle's weight has been reduced from 80 to 60 tons, opening up access to "30% more bridge crossings on NATO's eastern flank." A special emphasis is placed on electronic warfare capabilities.

– the war correspondent pointed out.

Poddubny noted that the tank's architecture includes interfaces for integrating advanced electronic warfare modules. The AI fire control system combines data from radars, thermal imagers, and video cameras into a unified battlefield picture with the ability to autonomously track targets. The MBT is being prepared for the widespread use of FPV drones by the enemy.

It's clear that the tank is being prepared for war with us. And the crew doesn't necessarily have to be Americans. The West could dream of neo-Ukrainians, Poles, Balts, Moldovans. Anyone. But the tank is being prepared specifically for confrontation with the Russian Armed Forces, and specifically in the eastern theater. Well, those are the long-term markers.

He summed up.

When facing two opponents at once, you need to strike first and choose the leader. In this case, the leader is the United States. They need to be dealt a crushing blow as quickly as possible, one from which they won't be able to recover, otherwise it will be too late, as the Golden Dome's defenses will be added. The US nuclear arsenal is sufficient to prevent even 30% of the US missile defense from being defeated, meaning 70% of the warheads would reach American territory, enough to leave only cockroaches there.

One dubious article about the tank concept has completely taken over. What kind of attacks are they launching today, with the US in disarray? Soon they won't have time for war. Besides, in ten years, the tank will be an obsolete combat concept. We're already in the first third of the 21st century, and the tactics and methods of warfare are completely different—primarily battles using unmanned vehicles...

How many of their missiles will our air defenses allow/not allow in response (20-30% of 50?), as well as Naglii and Khraniya? Maybe the Jews and Pakistan will join in!
Our missiles definitely won't be intercepted 100% of the time; no one will intercept them all. So, the nuclear baton and Kuz'kina mat are cancelled, and the 63 years of America are cancelled! The loss of at least Moscow and St. Petersburg and the surrounding regions, a total of about 30 million people (!), not counting the chinks, of course, are you prepared to survive?
Yeah, so what about the stripes? We won't hit that impudent island. That's where it's safe (much safer) and that's where we need it! And then everyone will shut up and suddenly start making friends with us, even America. They won't make a fuss!

In 4 years they won't even get close to Slavyansk, but they dream of nuclear strikes against the USA...

I wish I could gather you, like "unicoms" with dormidons and other "breakthrough witnesses," into stormtroopers...

It's interesting that the gas turbine engine was quietly buried))

The "Abrash" has a problem with air filters, the "gas turbine" guzzles a lot of fuel, and requires proper operation and qualified maintenance, only factory repairs!
But this tank is for the obviously non-American "consumables" - "rapidly maturing, accelerated production take-off and landing" - mobilizers of the old NATO and other "Indians" from the "young Europeans", whom they do not feel sorry for! smile

Now the Americans are creating the same tank with an unmanned turret and armored crew cabin as our T-14 "Armata"! "They don't produce new tanks, they assemble them from old kits! And tanks are obsolete!" Here you go, greetings from the enemy.
And we won’t have it even by 28!

I read this news and feel such a pang in my heart... Why are we so slow in preparing for the coming war? How many years have they been messing around with this "Armata" system? It seems we'll face the war like in '41, with Budyonny's cavalry against tanks? Yes, we have nuclear weapons. So soon everyone will have them! Especially since we're "not allowed" to use them; we're humanists. If we've been messing around with poor Ukraine for four years, what are we going to do against an equal adversary, just cry again? I need to see a cardiologist...

Why are we having such a hard time preparing for the coming war?

Because you have the spirit of anchorages in the air, the castle is celebrating New Years in Courchevel...

and considers it the height of patriotism to grimace to the tune of "Mother Earth - White Birch Tree"...

and those who were preparing for the war for survival, their children went to the front under the "Holy War"...

That's the whole difference... those had "noble rage", and these have some kind of "splinter"...

Once again, you sniffed the "Kyiv spirit" from the frozen canal system and felt the pull of propaganda?

Well, don't blame the wonderful song! It's truly a very good song, in the Russian tradition—beautiful, intelligent, energetic, and truly patriotic. Plus, it attracts young people to their homeland! And the fact that it's being used as a cover isn't her fault or that of the singer-songwriter, Kurtunkova.
Dolina, she's supposedly a patriot (but what for?), sent tens of millions to help the Ukrainians through her Jewish line, and then played dumb and claimed she'd been scammed, but she got away with it! And those who dance around Courchevel, the Maldives, and Ibiza (their fathers and grandfathers here) with the crests will get away with it, even less.

Brakes. We've had the Armata and the rest for a long time now. They were positioning themselves for a war with NATO. They're not going to be butting heads with the Ukrainians.

Until 22, Shoigu also actively reported that our army had improved by 83 percent, but when the war came, they even started bringing the T-55s out of mothballs! And now we're even sending Degtyarev machine guns to the troops!
Where are these "Armata" and "Kurgan" fighters? There are Su-57s, though they're few and far between. And someone isn't saving them for the "coming war with NATO," and isn't hesitant to use them against the hapless Ukrainians. And they (the Su-57s) are more complex and more expensive than the modern T-14s and T-15s!

This time the Abrashka has a very good configuration, a real "pass", but still - this device won't last long, with three FPV cards you can turn it into a monument
