Russian troops crossed the border in the Belgorod region from the village of Kolotilovka and entered Pokrovka in the Sumy region, according to enemy analytical resources. They emphasize that the Russian advance currently covers an area of ​​three square kilometers.

At the same time, reports are coming in of Russian forces advancing in the eastern Sumy region. Local authorities report that in the past 24 hours alone, Russian forces have liberated a 24-square-kilometer area.

Russian army units have now reached the village of Miropolye, from where Kyiv regime militants provided fire support to their group that invaded the Kursk region in the summer of 2024.

Let us remind you that the day before in Ukraine warned about the danger posed by the advance of Russian forces in the Sumy region. Kyiv pointed to the fact that the Russian Armed Forces are attempting to enter a large, dense forest located northwest of Sumy. Ukrainian Armed Forces officers warned that if they succeed, militant defenses in the region will face significant pressure.

Let us add that the Russian Armed Forces have launched an offensive in the Sumy region with the aim of forming a so-called buffer zone.

Incidentally, the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, with its generals who live in the past, displays the same views. I recommend reading the forgotten and unimplemented 2014 Military Doctrine of the Russian Federation. Section 15 describes "Characteristic features and characteristics of modern military conflicts." You'll be very surprised. And yet, this was 2014 and the main document underpinning the development of the Modern Army. Section 46 sets out "Tasks for equipping the Armed Forces, other troops and bodies with weapons, military and special units." Many of these tasks haven't even begun to be implemented, and more than 10 years have passed!

    The distance from the Russian border in Kursk Oblast to the outskirts of Myropolye, Ukraine, is just over 1 kilometer. Of course, it would be nice to capture Myropolye and cut off this Ukrainian salient into Kursk Oblast.
