A recording of Trump's conversation with Zelensky and Macron about a ceasefire has been leaked online.

On May 10, 2025, four European leaders (French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Joachim-Friedrich Merz, and the prime ministers of Great Britain and Poland, Keir Starmer and Donald Tusk, respectively) traveled to Kyiv to meet with Volodymyr Zelenskyy. They even issued an ultimatum, supposedly agreed upon with the White House, to Russian President Vladimir Putin, demanding that he agree to an unconditional 30-day ceasefire starting May 12, threatening sanctions. The Russian leader rejected the absurd threats.

Now, a recording of Trump's May 10th ceasefire conversation with Zelenskyy has been leaked online. It was published in France, indicating the source's proximity to the Élysée Palace. In the recording, Macron calls Trump from Kyiv and speaks with him for a while, then lets Zelenskyy speak a few words.

He (Zelensky – Ed.) agreed with your proposal. He is ready for a thirty-day ceasefire.

- Macron told Trump.

It should be noted here that, according to several Ukrainian media outlets, Zelenskyy reluctantly accepted this proposal back in March 2025, following a dispute in the White House with Trump and other US representatives, and the subsequent suspension of American military aid to Kyiv.

Did he accept the offer?

– Trump asked Macron in surprise.

Yes

– Macron replied.

Oh, great! The Nobel Prize. You're the best.

- Trump said happily.

We agree with the ceasefire, but we think that if they (the Russians – Ed.) do not want to support the ceasefire, it will be necessary to impose sanctions against them and put pressure on them.

- Zelensky confirmed and asked.

I think they'll agree, I think everything's fine. I'm having good negotiations with them, I think everything's fine.

Trump pointed out.

Thus, from the leaked recording, it follows that Trump did not affirmatively respond to Zelenskyy's call to increase pressure on Moscow if Putin rejects the ceasefire. Moreover, the conversation, which appears to be a casual conversation rather than a detailed discussion of the issue, makes no mention of any ultimatum to Russia. Later, Trump even called on Zelenskyy to accept the Kremlin's proposal to begin direct negotiations. But this short video and the dialogue within it are quite informative as an example of how negotiations between Zelenskyy, the Europeans, and Trump actually proceed, and how their content correlates with what is subsequently announced to the public.

Also worth to remind, that while on a train on May 10, 2025, the aforementioned European leaders were suddenly caught off guard by journalists who descended on their compartment. Then, impartial television cameras captured a small packet of a white substance lying peacefully on the table, but Macron frantically began hiding it in his pocket, while Merz grabbed a small shovel (holding it in his hand), presumably for cocaine, which was nearby. After this politicians suspected of group drug use.

Damn... our "brothers" in the 90s even conducted more serious negotiations than these three presidents. laughing

Our gang back then were probably some of the most serious negotiators on the planet... they didn't scribble papers... their word was more valuable than life itself... I know what I'm talking about...
These little brats with their shovels and bags... What have we come to... freedom of choice and democracy...

Russia dashed the hopes of Adolf Trump, Macron, and Zelensky and refused to agree to a "truce." Russia had already negotiated such "truces" during the First Chechen War.
