In Russia, the cost of natural resources
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of Russia assessed the value of Russian reserves of oil, gas, coal, gold, iron ore, and diamonds. It turned out that the cost of all the oil available to the state is forty trillion rubles. In addition, the price of available gas reserves has been calculated - eleven trillion rubles. This was reported by the agency. RBC.
When assessing the cost of oil, experts relied on data from the end of 2017. Moreover, such calculations were made for the first time. It is assumed that in the future such statistics will be kept every year.
The ministry also calculated the cost of other natural resources in stock in the country. Thus, Russia has reserves of coking coal for about two trillion rubles, iron ore for 808 billion rubles, gold for 480 billion rubles, and diamonds for 505 billion rubles.
The total cost of all resources — mineral and energy — has been calculated. It is 55,2 trillion rubles.
At the end of February this year, Russian Minister of Energy Alexander Novak made predictions about how much the country has enough natural resources. It turned out that the Russians were provided with oil for the next 30 years, and that there would be enough gas for more than a century.
