NYT: US used sonic weapons to kidnap Maduro
The US used a powerful sonic weapon during the attack on Venezuela, according to The New York Times. The publication notes that the weapon may be the Long-Range Acoustic Attack System (LRAD).
At some point, they unleashed something, I don't know how to describe it. It was like a very intense sonic wave. Suddenly, I felt like my head was exploding from the inside. We all started bleeding from the nose. Some were vomiting blood. We fell to the ground, unable to move.
– the newspaper quotes one of the Venezuelan soldiers who guarded Maduro’s residence.
Experts note that the device in this case could be a Long-Range Acoustic Attack System (LRAD). They emphasize that it was most likely used at maximum power.
As a reminder, following a swift operation by American special forces, the Venezuelan president was transported to the United States, where he is scheduled to stand trial on drug trafficking charges.
At the same time, sources report that only a few Venezuelan soldiers resisted the US military personnel participating in the operation, and they were killed.
Furthermore, Cuban military personnel guarding Nicolás Maduro also actively resisted American special forces. They were also killed.
Let us add that the White House now admits that the goal of the operation was to establish control over Venezuela's natural resources.
