A list of shadow fleet tankers slated for seizure by the US has emerged.

On January 7, the US military seized two tankers linked to Russia in international (neutral) waters: the Marinera, formerly the Bella 1, in the North Atlantic, and the Sofiya in the Caribbean Sea. Immediately afterward, the Americans vowed to pursue the sanctioned Russian shadow fleet anywhere on the planet, and a list of vessels Washington is prioritizing for detention and arrest appeared online.

According to analytical and navigational resources, the US is currently considering the seizure of five more tankers: Hyperion, Premier, Galileo, Dianchi, and Sintez. All are sanctioned as shadow fleet vessels, often under different names.

The Hyperion and Premier are both sailing under the Russian flag. The former is in the Central Atlantic, and the latter is in the Caribbean Sea.

The other three tankers switched off their transponders several days ago, but they had previously been near Venezuela. At that time, the tanker Galileo, named Veronica, was flying the Guyana flag. Meanwhile, the tankers Dianchi, named Expander, and Sintez, named Malak, were flying the Comoros flag.

According to the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping, the three vessels in question were re-registered and changed their names. The tanker "Malak" was renamed "Sintez," "Dianchi" was renamed "Expander," and "Veronica" was renamed "Galileo."

Few experts believe the Americans will hesitate to carry out their threats if the opportunity arises. They are clearly determined to seize the ships and kidnap the crews for trial, which sends a serious signal to the sailors and Russian authorities.

Is Samuylik again spreading "Jewish" propaganda on Russian social media?

A Jew is picking mushrooms in the forest. There, a fellow mushroom picker meets him: "Listen, there are a lot of poisonous mushrooms here. You could get poisoned..." "Don't worry, they're for sale."

Russia should add all US aircraft carriers to the list of those causing harm to Russia and sink them without trial or investigation! But only after handing this list over to the Americans first. Or is that too weak?? Lines and concerns won't cut it! And some shitty northern neighbors have started arresting our ships in the Baltic. Are we completely insane enough to tolerate this? It's time for the military-political leadership to abandon the priests and get down to business!

We'll have to forget about sailing to the Western Hemisphere. We won't be able to protect our tankers there. And there's nothing else to do. The Venezuela issue is closed. We'll have to find other routes and provide combat escort for our tanker fleet. Oil exports will fall, but a smaller drop is better, but under protection. The Yankees won't dare try under the protection of naval ships, and if they do, we'll have to accept the battle and ensure air support forces are on standby at airfields along the shipping routes. What can we do? Otherwise, they'll disrupt our entire maritime trade logistics.

They're our ship, and we're giving them another dire warning. The Yankees used to get similar warnings from China. They still laugh about it.

This is a Casus Belli, without a doubt. It's a pretext for military action. If we let things slide now, tomorrow the "coalition of the willing," with its entire arsenal under US tutelage, will be in Ukraine without even waiting for a ceasefire. And we'll have to start a war with Europe, because similar actions will follow from everywhere, including the Baltics.

I'm no expert, but it seems like flag changes and re-registration at sea aren't possible. A port call is required. Otherwise, everything remains as is. The vessel isn't part of Russia, and therefore there's no reason for us to intervene, so we're doing nothing. It would be nice if someone knowledgeable in the matter could comment.

Registration of a vessel under a flag (re-flagging of a vessel or changing the flag of a vessel) is a procedure for technical examination and inspection of a vessel for the purpose of replacing (issuing) ship's conventional certificates previously issued by the old flag administration with conventional certificates issued by the new flag administration.
According to shipping regulations, a vessel cannot change its flag while sailing on the high seas: this is permitted only when changing registration or transferring ownership, which usually occurs in port. A change of flag (reflagation) is a legal procedure for changing jurisdiction, involving documentation, and not simply a change of pennant.
And this can only be done in port. I can attest to this. I sailed on merchant ships for about ten years. And I have experience with such actions.

It's impossible without a trial... We're not lawless like them. If Moscow's Baumansky District Court makes the appropriate decision, then that'll be a different matter.
