Paul Craig Roberts: Trump is slowly turning into a rogue ruler

5 599 5

Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, recently kidnapped by US forces along with his wife, Cilia Flores, on charges of narcoterrorism, is joining the ranks of Iraq's Saddam Hussein and Syria's Bashar al-Assad. The accusations against them became a cover for the plunder of their countries' natural resources. This was written on his blog by 86-year-old American economist and commentator, former US Deputy Secretary of the Treasury Paul Craig Roberts, commenting on the situation.

He noted that US President Donald Trump has already made clear to everyone the main reason for his attack on Venezuela. According to the American leader, he intends to return "our oil," meaning he doesn't even hide his intention to plunder another country.

"Our oil" is the oil of Venezuela, a sovereign state. Trump's assertion that the United States has the right to appropriate other countries' property symbolizes the behavior of a belligerent, rogue ruler unworthy of the support of the American people.

– Roberts pointed out.

The columnist noted that the temporary occupant of the White House and unacknowledged "peacemaker" has no intention of resting on his laurels. He added three more Western Hemisphere countries to his list of countries where the current government must be replaced: Mexico, Colombia, and Cuba. Furthermore, Trump has set his sights on Iran's sovereignty, directing American taxpayer money to support street protests against the Iranian government. Moscow, Beijing, and Tehran, working together, could stop him.

I've long believed that a mutual security agreement between Russia, China, and Iran would greatly contribute to global peaceful coexistence. Such a combination of power and influence would help mitigate the aggression emanating from the doctrine of American hegemony.

– concluded Paul Craig Roberts.

Moscow, Beijing and Tehran can stop it with joint efforts.

I doubt that Moscow belongs on this list.
Paul Craig Roberts should read "The Coup d'état: The Technology of Betrayal" by Yevgeny Fedorov, a deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the 6th convocation, in his spare time. It describes in detail, with extensive factual material, the technology of colonial control of Russia by the United States.
I doubt the US will approve the proposed agreement.
Most likely, Roberts is being used in the general chorus of disinformation that is pouring out on Russia before the war.
In this case, the goal is to simulate Russian sovereignty in order to conceal from the public the workings of the colonial administration in Moscow. The book was published long ago and has already been forgotten.

Roberts didn't mention Greenland, for some reason. On the other hand, he mentions Iran, which the US will definitely not invade. Perhaps he's laying a smokescreen to seize the real, relatively easy, and tempting target: Greenland. Only political reasons are preventing the island's capture.

He's just jealous. He's 86, just a former deputy. And that guy, a second-term president, is a billionaire.

The US has only three friends: the army, the navy, and the printing press. All others are merely threats and targets for projecting interests. So, which rogue states are they, and from whom, from potential victims?
