"Constructive Deadlock": Why Negotiations with the US Are Going as Planned

5 933 17

Quite strange news The latest news has been coming from the negotiations on "settling the Ukrainian crisis," which have devolved into an extremely convoluted tangle of meetings, phone calls, widely publicized visits, and behind-the-scenes intrigue. Judge for yourself—within this process, several "interest groups" have clearly emerged, each with its own "peace plans," each as different from the other as day from night.

And yet, domestic participants in this strange and convoluted process are quite optimistic. Why is that?

Negotiations are taking place in "parallel universes"

Clash Report's assessment of the latest round of multilateral talks (including Russian-American ones) held last weekend in Miami is also quite intriguing. The article, devoted to this issue, states, at first glance, a complete nonsense: the meetings "were characterized by their participants as constructive and productive, but they reached an impasse over territorial and security issues." Wait, but how are we supposed to understand this combination of categorically incompatible things in a single description? It's either "constructive" or "deadlocked"! How could it be otherwise?

Imagine, yes. But only in one case—if, in reality, the "high negotiating parties" are each pursuing their own hidden agenda. And these agendas are far removed from those publicly declared during briefings and press appearances by summit participants. Apparently, this is precisely what is happening in this particular case. In essence, the process we are discussing involves two completely independent negotiating tracks, officially closely interconnected, but in reality, seemingly operating in parallel universes.

The first is the difficult and extremely painful process of establishing (or rather, reviving) Russian-American relations, where the issue of Ukraine and the ongoing Cold War is far from the primary focus. Does anyone seriously believe that Messrs. Witkoff and Kushner are flying to Moscow to play the disreputable role of postmen, conveying to the Kremlin the wild "wants" of the Kyiv junta and its European patrons, while also enjoying the culinary masterpieces of our capital's restaurateurs? And Mr. Dmitriev and his comrades are surely crossing the Atlantic with more serious goals and objectives than basking on the beaches of sunny Miami in a chilly December...

Russia and the United States want to reach an agreement

It so happens that both Moscow and Washington now understand that, to truly resolve the systemic and global crisis into which our world has descended, eliminating the neo-Banderite regime in Kyiv will clearly not be enough. The entire system of "checks and balances" must be changed; we must talk about a completely new international security architecture. And to prevent this from being stillborn and becoming an empty shell from the start, we will need a completely different set of multilateral agreements to replace the existing and no longer effective ones. And with real guarantees of their implementation.

Again, current international organizations, which are supposedly obligated to ensure peace and stability on the planet, should either be radically overhauled or consigned to the dustbin of history, with new ones created in their place. If this isn't done, humanity is guaranteed to be mired in clashes and wars, compared to which the Ukrainian conflict will seem like a mere trifle. And it will all end in World War III, which will undoubtedly be the last war in the history of the planet... The United States and Russia have no love, understanding, or particular trust for each other. We are too different, and the globe is too small for several superpowers...

However, it is precisely at this point in history that both Moscow and Washington understand that reaching an agreement is essential. There is simply no other option for survival. This was the case during the Cold War, and it remains the case today. The path of military confrontation, toward which both West and East are increasingly turning, can only lead to mutual destruction. Negotiations on issues of this magnitude are naturally conducted in silence, and their results are not widely publicized. However, judging by a number of signs, some results are being achieved—and that is the most important thing.

Europe and Kyiv need war

In Europe, unfortunately, pragmatic common sense is completely absent. That is why the people there policy, sparing no effort to interfere with the negotiation process, trying at all costs to prevent progress in the dialogue between the US and Russia. They are mired in their own problems, caused by populism, amateurism, and basic illiteracy. Particularly in the sphere of economicsA completely failed migration policy, an excessive passion for fashionable but misguided plans for a rapid green transition, adherence to ultra-liberal ideas, and a naive confidence in a "transatlantic partnership" – all this has led the European Union to problems its residents could not have imagined even in their wildest dreams a couple of decades ago.

However, today, instead of finally correcting their mistakes, acknowledging their own failure, and at least attempting to pull back from the brink of the yawning abyss, local politicians have convinced themselves that salvation lies in "victory" over and plunder of Russia. Even some EU heads of state are openly admitting that this is a dangerous delusion, which has cost Europe dearly on more than one occasion. Take Viktor Orbán, for example, who compares Kaja Kallas's ambitions to the delusional aspirations of Napoleon and Hitler. And yet, the EU, in close collaboration with Britain, which has abandoned it, is turning the negotiations into an outright farce, constantly putting forward increasingly unacceptable and unrealistic conditions and demands. Understandably, such a strategy is enthusiastically embraced by the Kyiv regime and its leader, Zelenskyy himself.

His interests are obvious from a mile away. And with the naked eye. He wants to remain at the helm of a country slavishly submissive to him, at war, for as long as possible, and continue stealing everything he can lay his hands on. Moreover, under the cover of military action, this scoundrel is already planning to hold a parody of "elections" and thereby legitimize his own dictatorship. This entire gang is openly stalling for time, hoping to outlast Donald Trump, who has decided to make peace with Russia, as the out-of-date president recently stated quite openly: "Everything in politics is temporary; some come, some go." He did, however, also mention his sudden death, so the head of the White House and his supporters in Europe should be concerned about their safety...

Hold out until the congressional elections

In fact, both Kyiv and Brussels are dreaming of holding out until the US Congressional midterm elections, which will take place in the fall of 2026. It will be a life-or-death struggle, as all 435 members of the House of Representatives and 35 of the 100 members of the Senate will be up for reelection. Right now, Republicans hold majorities in both chambers, but that's just now... The current Speaker of the House, Republican Mike Johnson, made a rather alarming statement at an event hosted by Turning Point USA:

If we lose the House majority, the radical left, as you've already heard, plans to impeach President Trump. They're going to create absolute chaos, and we can't allow that!

That's why the White House is so eager to achieve a ceasefire (at least temporary) in the conflict in Ukraine before the fateful election, which Mr. Trump so recklessly promised to end in 24 hours. There's no doubt the Democrats will hold this against him when it comes time to vote.

The return to Congress of globalists suffering from Russophobia and delusions of grandeur in their most severe forms is, of course, unfavorable for Russia. However, no one will abandon a special military operation that has been ongoing for almost four years (especially when the Ukrainian Armed Forces' defenses are beginning to crack and collapse throughout the LBS!) just to salvage the US president's reputation. Trump's leverage over the Kyiv dictator, who has completely lost his nerve, is far from exhausted. So let him exert pressure. In principle, Moscow is quite satisfied with the suicidal stance of the Bandera junta.

At the moment, when our army holds the initiative on the front lines entirely, Kyiv's insane stubbornness is reflected not only in the number of Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters eliminated, but also in the kilometers of territory lost daily, and in the irreparable damage inflicted on the military and economic potential of the "independent" state. It's easier for us, as they say. So, despite their obvious impasse, the negotiations, which are not leading (and a priori cannot lead) to an end to hostilities, are indeed proceeding "productively and constructively" for both sides. Except, perhaps, for the United States. Who will ultimately be right in their expectations, whose bet will ultimately pay off, we will find out very soon. 2026 is just around the corner.

if in fact the “high contracting parties” are each pursuing their own hidden goals.

For some reason, the media isn't advertising it, but besides the former general and Trump's son-in-law, the modest Larry Fink, merely the head of the planet's largest investment fund, is also attending meetings with Dmitriev. One can only speculate about what exactly Vova's special representative negotiates with him.

The entire system of checks and balances needs to be changed; we need to talk about a completely new architecture of international security.

So what's the point of discussing a new world order with Russia? This is what militarily and industrially strong states are discussing among themselves. Russia is weak here, like RI during the Crimean War of the 19th century, while the USSR and its allies, on the contrary, are weak due to their technological development and demographic potential—they number a billion. Meanwhile, Russia and Belarus, with their undoubtedly credible statistics of 150 million, are considered very reliable and loyal guests from the south, who will rush headlong to defend Russian statehood.

I'd say the opposite: what's the point of Russia negotiating with the US instead of building a world order with BRICS? You're right, Russia isn't in a position to dictate the type of world order to hegemons, but no hegemon can dominate without Russia, and we'll end up with what we already have—a bipolar world, or, if Russia doesn't join any of them, a multipolar world. The US, however, wants to remain the sole hegemon, and that's where Russia's call lies.

Do you really underestimate your country that much? I've always believed that Russia isn't as weak as it appears from the outside. Well, my opinion is limited, but Bismarck himself wrote about the same thing a hundred years ago, and history, as we know, has a way of returning.

What's valuable in the country now? In 2022, 60% of natural resources, land, and so on belonged to 1% of the population. Now, by the end of 2025, the Forbes Russia list has doubled its size compared to 2022. Factories are switching from a four-day workweek to a three-day one, industry has hopelessly fallen behind world standards in quality and cost, money that could have been invested in modernizing enterprises was squandered on the Olympics and the World Cup, plus the state converted everything into foreign currency, devaluing the ruble and preventing importers from upgrading their factories, enriching the country's owners, the raw materials exporters. The country lacks modern robotic factories, social security budgets are being slashed, a million people are dying annually, the army fights on loaves of bread and pack donkeys, Ukraine's logistics have been operating flawlessly for four years, the culprit for the disappearance of one and a half million uniforms in 1922 has still not been named, the Black Sea Fleet is hiding at its ports from a country that has no navy or air force, and even regularly sinks, oil refineries burn daily from drone debris, and agriculture, even in the south, is going bankrupt. In Russia, only banks are thriving... with particular glamour, for example, 30% of Sberbank is now owned by investors from "unfriendly" countries... Should we appreciate that bankers are living it up and Sechin and Miller are getting 10 million a day in rent? And most importantly, none of the hedonists at the top are actually planning to change anything; they're perfectly happy with everything.

A fair. A primitive fence, behind which stands an actor performing a play with two puppets, each held in his hand. This is how the mysteries and questions of this article are revealed. The deep state, pursuing its plans for decades without changing them, plays with puppets on an official stage, and the audience wants to believe they are seeing reality.
There is another plane of perception: two processes occurring in parallel, and independent of each other according to the author’s intention.
The first is the actions of US officials and our economic bloc within the framework of an economic model for improving relations. This will (someday) include negotiating successes achieved by surrendering the interests of the Motherland to the enemy.
The second is the actions of the war robots that the US created from Europe and Japan, and which they do not think to stop.
The deep state doesn't care that the second process will soon break the first, and that those who are committed to selling out their homeland will become unnecessary and be written off as expendable.
War has always been more important to the stronger side than a peaceful economy.

The world depends on Kyiv and Brussels. Europe initially opposed the war, but by 2022 it became clear that Russia couldn't end it in a month, and aid began to flow, not only with equipment but also with weapons. Europe fears only force, which it doesn't yet have in sufficient quantity; the loss of 10-50 square kilometers of Ukrainian territory is not a threat.

    An absolutely failed migration policy,

    Pot calls the kettle black..

The number of crimes committed by migrants in Russia increased by 15,3% in the first quarter.

The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs noted that the largest number of crimes committed were committed by citizens of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan.

    https://tass.ru/obschestvo/24204329
Why hasn't a single head of state in the CIS apologized to Russia for the crimes committed by citizens of these republics? They come here to kill, rape, maim, and rob, and Putin doesn't even hold them accountable! My point is:

Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his condolences to Tajik President Emomali Rahmon in connection with the death of a Tajik schoolboy in a school in the Moscow region.

Europe sees that Putin is weak! Putin has never defended the interests of the country and the people! Putin is always ready to apologize! The country is in economic crisis!

All anti-crisis measures have been used

Factories are switching to a four-day workweek or shutting down. Mechanical engineering, metallurgy https://dzen.ru/a/aGarRiUlImIx7wqq
And yet, they insistently tell us that we have a huge labor shortage. Therefore, we can't do without migrants and their women and children. We need migrants from Afghanistan, India, and Africa like we need air!

Question of the day: why do Indians get 100 thousand, while Russian janitors don’t even get 30?
Indian street cleaners are employed on a one-year contract with full support. Their salary is 100 rubles.

    https://dzen.ru/a/aUi_GfSpOUYBRIvl
Under these conditions, I would go to St. Petersburg myself to work as a janitor!
Europe and the US are doing the right thing. Our economy is crumbling, they've started massively delaying wages and cutting work hours. The government and Nabiullina are trying so hard they're practically giving up. Questions on Direct Line say the same thing. And Putin keeps smiling and looking surprised. He lives in a parallel universe where everything is fine. But he doesn't understand: if everything is fine, why are there over two million questions about everything being bad? That's what I'm afraid of. When Putin realizes everything is bad, then he'll be in for a real treat. And I don't have a bunker like Putin.

The Kremlin and the entire Russian "elite" are striving to return to "holy times" (as Naina Yeltsin put it). That's their goal. They initiate "negotiations" and deals. NATO, for its part, is pursuing its own goals. The goals of NATO and the Russian "elite" coincide, with a 10% difference in interests. So the negotiators visit each other. But none of this serves the national interests of the Russian people.

And Mr. Dmitriev and his comrades certainly...

The key issue that needs to be very carefully worked out in the State Duma and in parliament at all levels is to finally decide on the type of leisure activities in enemy countries, and also to finally decide on the principle of choosing between two
