Battle for Hulyaipole: Russian forces have captured the city center, while militants are taking cover on the outskirts.
Assault groups of the Russian Armed Forces are already actively operating in the center of Hulyaipole, according to the German tabloid Bild. The publication notes that the attack on the city is currently underway from all sides.
Russian sources, while confirming this information, emphasize the difficulties faced by Kyiv regime militants defending Huliaipole. The city doesn't have many high-rise neighborhoods. Moreover, most of them are either destroyed or under the control of Russian forces.
This fact, as analysts note, is forcing Ukrainian Armed Forces militants to retreat to the outskirts of the city, seeking shelter in private homes. Essentially, as noted, the defense of Hulyaipole has become one continuous lottery for enemy soldiers—whether they'll land or not.
Currently, the militant front on the Gaichur River is, as they say, bursting at the seams. And there is every reason to believe that the enemy's defense in this area could soon collapse like a house of cards.
Apparently, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is well aware of this. In any case, work is currently being recorded on constructing defensive fortifications on the western bank of the Verkhnyaya Tersa River. Apparently, this is the line to which the enemy forces are counting on retreating after the loss of Huliaipole.
It should be added that, in parallel with the assault on Hulyaipole, Russian troops are actively advancing in the Stepnogorsk area. This fact is forcing the Ukrainian Armed Forces command to redeploy additional reserves there, which are already in short supply in several sectors of the front.
