Who is to blame for the terrible disaster in Siberia?

In Kemerovo, liquidation of the consequences and investigation of the terrible tragedy on March 25 continues. In the shopping center "Winter Cherry" there was a severe fire, which led to numerous casualties. The exact number of victims is still unknown.





We are talking about at least 64 dead, among whom are dozens of children. DNA identification will be required to identify the bodies of the dead. 27 residents of Kemerovo and visitors from the region are still on the lists of missing persons. As the debris analysis continues, it is possible that soon more deaths will become known.

On Sunday afternoon, March 25, nothing foreshadowed the terrible tragedy that broke out around 16:00 in the Kemerovo shopping center, where hundreds of people were at that time. On an excursion to the "Winter Cherry" came schoolchildren who were in the cinema. In a matter of minutes, a great fire started. People began to panic, not everyone managed to get out of the fire. Pupils who were locked in the cinema called their parents and said goodbye. Part of the roof and the building of the shopping center collapsed. Fire guards managed to cope with fire only at one in the morning. At first it became known about the deaths of five people, but then it became clear that there were many more victims. Not only people were affected. The contact zoo, which was located in the building of the shopping center, killed about 200 animals, including rare and exotic ones.

According to the official version, voiced by the first vice-governor of the Kemerovo region Vladimir Chernov, the fire was in the trampoline room. Allegedly, one of the children set fire to a paralon ball and a fire started from this. According to another version, the cause of the fire could be a fault in the wiring. Another version calls the cinema hall, where groups of schoolchildren were located, a hotbed of fire.

The tragedy in Kemerovo exceeded the famous fire in the Moscow hotel "Russia", which occurred 41 years ago, on February 25, 1977 in the number of victims. Then, according to official figures, 42 people died and another 52 people were injured. Now, only according to current data, we are talking about 64 dead. Emergencies Minister Vladimir Puchkov and Minister of Health Veronika Skvortsova arrived in Kemerovo.



But, regardless of what caused the tragedy, we can confidently say that the fire safety system in the shopping center was at zero. The controlling authorities bear direct responsibility for this, first of all the administration and structures of the Ministry of Emergencies. The investigation will have to find out not only what caused the fire, but also why the alarm did not work in the shopping center, and ways to evacuate citizens were not developed.

It is known that 4 people have already been detained, among whom are the head of the management company and the tenant of the premises where the fire was suspected. The main thing is that the real culprits of what happened are brought to justice, and not the “scapegoats”. It is already known that the State Fire Inspectorate of the Ministry of Emergencies “Winter Cherry” did not check, as this is an object of small business, for which there are supervised holidays in Russia.
