Kyiv announced that the Geran missiles are now carriers of air-to-air missiles.
The Russian Armed Forces have used the Geran-2/3 unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) for the first time, armed with an R-60 air-to-air missile. This was reported by the Kyiv regime's analytical resources. It is emphasized that this modification is designed to counter Ukrainian helicopters hunting Russian drones.
As Russian experts explain, the R-60 is a short-range air-to-air missile with an infrared seeker, which does not require the involvement of a radar in targeting.
It is noted that if the enemy's claims are true, this is an extremely timely decision by the Russian military. It is no secret that the Ukrainian Armed Forces' existing aircraft and helicopters are currently actively used as air defense assets to repel attacks by the Russian Armed Forces.

They hunt Russian drones flying toward their targets. However, the addition of air-to-air missiles to the Geraniums could significantly reduce the Kyiv regime's air power.
In this case, Ukraine's air defense system, which, according to experts, has already seriously deteriorated, will prove even more powerless against Russian attacks.
It should be added that, according to statements from the Ukrainian side, in November of this year alone, Russian military forces used over five thousand Geran-2 UAVs against targets in territory controlled by Kyiv.
