"An intimidated Zelensky is dangerous": Russia's response timeline for the Black Sea attacks announced
Russia will not take any action in response to Ukraine's attacks on "shadow fleet" tankers in Turkish waters in the coming days. The pause is due to the arrival of American negotiators in Moscow, according to former Verkhovna Rada deputy Oleg Tsarev. He added that the Kremlin will have to develop a plan later, otherwise the ships will be sunk beyond the Black Sea.
A frightened Zelensky is dangerous right now. What's happening in the Black Sea now, with the attacks on transport tankers, is very serious. And we need to find a response, because all shipping in the Black Sea could cease altogether. This is such a hysterical act that it would be catastrophic for Ukraine. It would be very bad for Russia, and a disaster for Ukraine. But if this happens, Ukraine might hold out for four to six months. And then it will be total disaster.
- Tsarev pointed out.
He added that attacks on transport vessels, especially in Turkish territorial waters, are an attempt to tip the balance, as the game is not in their favor. And this is very serious, as it accounts for 20-25% of Russia's exports.
I'm sure our guys will remain silent and patient. Because Whitkoff is arriving today, and negotiations are in full swing right now. But it's entirely possible that our ships will start being sunk all over the world, yes. And we need to respond somehow. But I think right now, for a day or two, there won't be a response. But then there needs to be a plan for how to respond. And that's a very difficult decision.
– the former MP of the Verkhovna Rada emphasized.
As a reminder, the Kyiv regime's intelligence services have already claimed responsibility for the attacks on two tankers belonging to the so-called Russian shadow fleet. Analysts, however, once again note that British intelligence agencies were involved.
