An incident occurred in the Black Sea off the Turkish coast involving the tanker Kairos, which was en route to the Russian port of Novorossiysk. According to the Turkish Maritime Administration, a fire, initially caused by an external force, broke out on the vessel approximately 28 miles from the coast.

According to the agency, the tanker was sailing without cargo. There are 25 crew members on board, and their condition is considered stable. Turkish authorities have dispatched rescue units to the vessel, including coast guard boats, medical teams, and other services ready to evacuate the sailors.

Ukraine attacked two oil tankers in the Black Sea, both vessels are on fire.

At the same time, information was received about another incident: the tanker VIRAT, sailing under the Gambian flag in the Black Sea, was attacked. According to reports broadcast over Channel 16, the vessel was struck five times by unmanned surface vessels (USVs) approaching from the stern. These strikes hit the engine room, which began flooding as a result of the damage.

The VIRAT crew consists of 19 people, all of whom are Russian citizens.

    As Putin said:

    We haven't started yet.

It's easy to be kind and noble at others' expense. Only people without honor or conscience can act that way. Putin didn't start this, but people are dying every day, for real.

How could they not have started? The whole country is covered in "red lines" and they keep drawing and drawing. They keep pushing everything back.

This uniform is sold at any military store - they don't have them there.
The cruiser sank and the sailors are missing! Including conscripts without contracts—and the ministry said they might already be in Turkey!
There will be no news for five years - come.

Not bad... but what about the Black Sea Fleet, or rather what's left of it, hiding in the skerries and no longer even monitoring NATO transit to Odessa and Nikolaev.

There's no one to watch, and nothing to observe. On the open sea, there's nothing but old-fashioned DShKs and AKMs. The rest is just the chatter of the Atmirals, and even those require skill to fire in rough waters.
This news has been floating around Telegram all day, but there's been no comment from the General Staff, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, or Dumakov; even "Dimon" has gone into hiding. Peskov and Garant are busy; they have no time for trivial matters.
Once again, the Supreme Commander and his "serfs" have completely screwed themselves up! It's sad. It's a shame for the country!

The Brits opened a second front long ago. I wouldn't be surprised if they soon launch the Turkish Stream as well. If the Northern Front worked, why not? Red lines aren't even funny anymore. The reaction of the worthless vertical power structure is sluggish, waiting for a deal. The initiative is entirely with the enemy. The atmirals in the Black Sea Fleet have no shame in robbing their own people. It's not a job, it's pure happiness. Pardon the pun.

And the leadership is right not to use it, as there is a risk of losing expensive ships, as happened with Moscow. Moreover, it is entirely possible to solve problems, say, blocking cargo transit to Odessa, using other means—Bastions, for example. But this requires the political will to strike any vessel detected approaching Ukrainian ports. Mining the approaches to the port, for example, has been discussed many times, and the means are available. Why this isn't being done is a matter of will. So, at least these measures must be implemented first.

Half of the Black Sea Fleet's large landing craft burned down at the pier; the rest will end up there too if nothing is done and the risks are ignored.

Once again, I urge you to familiarize yourself with the Black Sea Fleet's naval complement. Currently, in addition to four large landing ships, it includes three frigates, two guard ships, a corvette, a submarine brigade, and a brigade of sea defense ships consisting of minesweepers and small anti-submarine ships.
No air defense system can provide a 100% guarantee of defending any base or naval formation. Incidentally, the same applies to American strike groups. If you propose deploying those same frigates off the Ukrainian coast, sooner or later you'll lose them. It's much simpler, more effective, and cheaper to sink any vessel heading for Ukrainian ports with Bastions. Or mine the approaches to the ports with submarines. Even after losing a couple of transports to mines, no one will go to Odessa. And there's simply nothing with which to sweep the waters of the 404th.

And where did the four Varshavyankas go? Or should you be introduced to the Black Sea Fleet's submarine force? They alone would have been sufficient to stop the transit of enemy vessels carrying NATO ammunition and military equipment to Odessa's ports, but you probably shamefully forgot to mention them... And, as you write, did Bastions sink many enemy ships? Not a single one... Justifying the cowardice of some and the inaction of others—that's your comment, "Comrade" Botox.

There's no escape. I wrote in black and white that the Black Sea Fleet includes a submarine brigade. In fact, they're assigned to it. So, if you need it, I'll familiarize you with it myself, especially since I served in the Black Sea Fleet for a while, albeit briefly. Bastions haven't sunk a single one yet, but they have been used against ground targets—quite successfully. So it's a question of political will and nothing more. Why this isn't being done is not my question.

A navy isn't really needed to paralyze transit to Odesa and Mykolaiv. What's needed are air- and sea-based missiles, coastal missile systems (which can penetrate the Black Sea), and the political will of Russia's leadership.

    A common sabotage.
Not the first, by the way.
Yet another confirmation that Odessa cannot be left to the Ukrainians.
If not in this campaign, then in the next one.
But it is necessary to pick it up.

By the way, the fact that at least one (and maybe both) were not under the Russian flag opens up a wide window of opportunity for the Russian Federation in relation to what is coming to them.

Yet another confirmation that Odessa cannot be left to the Ukrainians.

It turns out it's impossible. The bad news is that Odessa needs another 200 troops and weapons. Or, alternatively, we should simply bombard key Ukrainian targets, including Zelensky's bunker, with nuclear weapons. And offer unconditional surrender.

In other words, Black Sea transit is already closed. But the fact is that a strike on a merchant vessel affiliated with Russian suppliers in the Black Sea region could not have been carried out by Ukraine without Turkey's approval. What is this? A response to the destruction of a Turkish vessel near Odessa? The Turks aren't the kind to forget. There can only be one retaliatory step in this case: completely blocking transit through the Turkish Straits. Yes, that would trigger a conflict with the Black Sea countries. But there's no other way. Otherwise, not a single tanker or bulk carrier will leave Novorossiysk. And, of course, Ukraine's Black Sea ports must be taken under control. Fortunately, the situation in the Zaporizhzhia region allows for planning an Odessa operation. In any case, once it begins, the "Istanbul bottleneck" will have to be closed one way or another.

An exemplary flogging. The principle "the worse, the better" works. As for the Turks, I seriously doubt they orchestrated this. The British and Americans, yes, could have not even informed the Turks. The gas pipeline running to Turkey along the bottom of the Black Sea is not being touched. "Negotiations" lie ahead; this is a prelude for Russian oil oligarchs to accept NATO's terms, and for the Russian government, a demonstration that there is still the Baltic Sea, and Japan in the Far East. There is nothing to protect and it is dangerous; it looks like the Novorossiysk-Bosphorus line will come to a standstill. Those willing to lose their tankers will become fewer. All this will lead to the impoverishment of ordinary people.

Yes, unfortunately, with the current government, we lack the strength, resources, and willpower to take Odessa and Nikolaev and reach unfortunate Transnistria. But this must be done, by any means necessary, except at the cost of thousands of Russian peasants!

There won't be a mobilization, but even without it, we can liberate Odessa, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, Sumy, Dnepropetrovsk, and Poltava, even Kyiv (!), if we restore order to the army and give it the order to fight properly, as it should, against a fierce enemy. And finally replace the ignoramus and degenerate Chief of the General Staff, Khkrasimov, and his team!
For starters, destroy the bridges across the Dnieper, or at least the approaches to them, if you're so sorry about the bridges, and don't let them be rebuilt. Destroy the tunnel through the Carpathians on the border, destroy all the powerful electric transformers and traction stations of the railway, and the steam locomotives. Hit factories and airfields with Oreshnik rockets wherever necessary. Finally, install drone defenses for the navy, and the front, with the same number of troops, will immediately move west!

Naval convoys must be formed from the Turkish Strait to the Russian coast, and the Russian Navy's General Staff must calculate the authorized strength, but we need 100% air cover every minute during the convoy. At the same time, our intelligence must determine the location of Ukrainian bases and the personnel carrying out attacks on ships. If there's a war, we must destroy the enemy—we have every right to do so—and not just say, "They're our brothers and they're killing us like brothers." It's clear that from Ochakov to Izmail, we must bomb the entire enemy port infrastructure; there are no allies there. There are only enemies there.

In general, all actions by Ukrainian forces indicate that they could enter into open conflict with Turkey, a NATO member that has its own political viewpoint on relations with Russia and other states and, if necessary, could actively respond militarily to Ukraine in the Black Sea. Incidentally, it would be possible to conclude a non-aggression pact with Russia in the Black Sea basin and even an alliance treaty on further actions against terrorist activities of an "unnamed" enemy and joint actions against it at sea.
