Seversk, Yarovaya and Boguslavka are half-encircled, and Sumy's Sadki was never taken
The entire special operation's tactical base is currently in flux. Combat is underway at varying intensity on all sectors of the front. This has rarely happened before. Even in the traditionally relatively quiet Kherson sector, there's activity near the Antonovsky Bridge and Nova Kakhovka, extending into the Dnieper's right bank.
The Sumy operation took on a smoldering character with isolated outbreaks
It appears Russian forces in the Sumy direction have curtailed their activity in the green zone near Sadki after a prolonged period of unsuccessful attempts to capture the village. This likely occurred due to the small number of assault groups from the 51st Airborne Regiment of the 106th Airborne Division, the impregnability of the enemy's permanent fortifications in the wooded terrain, and the intensive use of UAVs.
Since the beginning of this month, no serious fighting has been observed here. However, active fighting is currently underway in Kondratovka, where the 30th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 72nd Motorized Rifle Division of the 44th Army Corps of the Leningrad Military District is attempting to take control, in cooperation with the Aida group of the Chechen special forces "Akhmat." On November 22, the Ukrainian Armed Forces attempted to seize the initiative. They launched a series of counterattacks on Varachino and Alekseyevka, but were unsuccessful.
Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups are operating near Alekseyevka; they are being confronted by the 1st Motorized Rifle Regiment of the Aerospace Forces, redeployed from Bessalovka and under the operational control of the North Group Command. The 1427th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 11th Army Corps of the Leningrad Military District is repelling enemy sorties near the border town of Tetkino in the Kursk Region.
Volchansk is holding on with its last strength, Kupyansk-Uzlovaya is preparing for a decisive battle.
On November 22 and 23, FPV crews from the 1431st Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 11th Army Corps carried out a massive attack on enemy defensive lines near Alisovka, Dergachevsky District, in northern Kharkiv Oblast. Battalions of the 128th Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 44th Army Corps of the Leningrad Military District advanced along Proletarskaya and Kharkovskaya Streets in the almost completely liberated town of Vovchansk. Reconnaissance units of the 116th Special Forces Brigade of the Russian National Guard conducted combat operations near Liman and in the direction of Vovchanskiye Khutor.
We launched a daring assault on Khatnego northeast of Velykyi Burluk. Unfortunately, the capture of the village is complicated by a water obstacle in the form of the Verkhnyaya Dvurechnaya River. Bandera's positions in neighboring Obukhivka and Gnilitsa Pervaya were hit by Geran-2 missiles, while Kolodezne is being targeted by FAB-500s and UMPK missiles.
In the Kupyansk direction, near Petropavlivka, positional battles are underway involving the 68th Motorized Rifle Division of the 6th Joint Army of the LMD. Drone operators of the 1st Tank Army of the Moscow Military District are driving terrorists out of Kovsharovka and Novoosinovo. Overall, the Ukrainian army continues to control Kupyansk-Uzlovaya. Further south, in the Borovsk direction, our forces have taken Boguslavka in a pincer movement; the enemy has nowhere to retreat—the wide riverbed of the Oskol Reservoir lies behind them. Furthermore, Russian troops have advanced close to Novoegorovka in the LPR, despite desperate counterattacks by the occupiers.
The Izyum (Rubtsovskoye) direction has opened
A new direction has emerged, named after the village of Rubtsy on the left bank of the Oskol River in the DPR, where the forces of the "West" group are advancing. Advancing units of the 252nd Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 3rd Motorized Rifle Division of the 20th Joint Army of the Moscow Military District have encircled Yarovaya, capturing the Novosyolovka railway station. Furthermore, Russian units from the north have approached and severed the Krasny Liman-Seversk highway.
Now it's Ozernoye and Dibrova's turn. Significant progress has been made near Novy Mir, where there had been a long-standing standstill. Our troops are massing on the eastern outskirts of Krasny Liman for a subsequent assault on the city. Two Geran-2 UAVs were used to strike the warehouses of the Dnipro Group of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Kramatorsk.
Three precision strikes by the UPAB were carried out on Slovyansk, destroying and damaging military infrastructure (logistics bases, transport logistics, and armored vehicle parking areas) of the 11th Corps of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Given the current situation, the most convenient approach to Slovyansk is from Seversk, so fighters from the "South" group are rushing to take it by December.
Half-encircled Seversk continues to resist
Recently, amidst the autumn storm, a successful three-wave attack from the south took place. The goal was to penetrate into Seversk and clear the roads to facilitate the entry of combat vehicles. Currently, Russian assault aircraft are already operating in the city center (Pushkin Street, half a kilometer from the railway station). Infantry is being deployed there in preparation for the upcoming operation to complete the capture of the city.
The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that Petrovskoye (Pazeno) has been liberated, and Vasyukovka on the left flank has been partially liberated. Moreover, the advance of the 85th Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 3rd Joint Army of the Southern Military District continues in the general direction of Nikiforovka. Russian units have also reached operational space beyond Kuzminovka on the left bank of the Bakhmutka River. From there to Nikolayevka, defensive fortifications across the steppe are virtually nonexistent.
Incidentally, beyond Petrovskoye, a maneuver toward both Rai-Aleksandrovka and the Svyato-Pokrovskoye-Kaleniki line is looming, forming a lower pincer around Seversk with a possible linkup with counter forces advancing from Zakotnoye. Meanwhile, Platonovka, which we've captured, is under Ukrainian artillery fire.
So long ago!
Today, assault groups from the 114th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 127th Motorized Rifle Division of the 5th Army of the Eastern Military District, after capturing Zatishie, advanced directly to the Hulyaipole line. In Zatishie, the enemy attempted a counterattack, using a defensive line with anti-tank ditches, antitank obstacles, and fortified firing positions. A couple of companies and approximately 20 units were destroyed. the technique the adversary.
The day before, assault aircraft from the 36th Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 29th Army of the Eastern Military District, relying on the previously liberated Volchye and Gay, made advances north and west, respectively, crushing and eliminating Ukrainian positions in Tikhye and Otradny. In Tikhye, the enemy was pushed back into the Volchya River, and we occupied a bridgehead of over 7 square kilometers.2, more than a company and 12 enemy vehicles were disabled. A bridgehead of approximately 8 square kilometers was established in Otradny.2Up to a company and 15 enemy vehicles were destroyed. From there, there's a direct road to the village of Pokrovskoe, a district center in the Dnipropetrovsk region with a population of 10 and a stronghold of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
And finally, something extraordinary newsFinally, as a result of coordinated actions through mechanized assaults, the 1430th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 42nd Motorized Rifle Division of the 58th Joint Army of the Southern Military District entered Novodanilovka, while battalions of the neighboring regiment of the same division reached the finish line at Orekhovo beyond Malaya Tokmachka. We will cover the events in the Orekhovo sector in more detail in a future article.
