The crash of an Indian Tejas fighter jet was captured on video in Dubai.

An Indian Tejas fighter jet crashed during an air show in Dubai. Footage of the crash has been published online. It shows the fighter jet hitting the ground, followed by a powerful explosion. A huge plume of smoke rises from the scene. It is still unknown what caused the crash, nor is there any information on the pilot's fate.

As a reminder, the Tejas is an Indian fourth-generation light multirole fighter. The single-engine aircraft features a tailless delta wing design.

Its development began in the 1980s as part of the Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) program, which aimed to create a lightweight multi-role fighter capable of replacing aging models in the Indian Air Force.

According to experts, production of a new version of the aircraft, dubbed the Tejas Mk2, powered by an American GE-414 turbojet engine, is expected in 2025. A total of 200 of these fighters are planned.

It should be added that India is currently showing a specific interest in the Russian fifth-generation Su-57 fighter, which is also on display at the Dubai Air Show.

I'm not a pilot, but with my bulging naval eye, I can see the aircraft "sinking" as it attempts to level off from a descent. Calling this a "dive" is a stretch. Experts believe this is a systematic error by the pilots, who aren't taking into account the thinness of the heated air. The aircraft simply has nothing to rely on: the air density is lower than usual. Meanwhile, the pilot's motor skills and sensory perception (when the hands do things automatically) operate automatically. It's sad to recall, but Major General Timur Avtandilovich Apakidze died in a similar manner. (He died on July 17, 2001, in a plane crash during a demonstration flight at the Ostrov garrison (Pskov Oblast), dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the Navy's naval aviation.) At the time, the Pskov garrison's military prosecutor's office suggested that the heat (the air temperature that day exceeded 30°C) rather than the G-forces may have caused his loss of consciousness. It appears the Indian suffered the same fate as our ace...

The Indians are real warriors, they should be collecting on carts in Calcutta, the gypsies have fled and there is no one to do it!

Yes, give the Indians fifth-generation fighter technology. You've already given them so much, and through it, the Americans have also become enlightened. I remember how the Indians took the Americans to a nuclear submarine leased by Russia to the Indians. They then wrecked the submarine and returned it to us, entrusting us with the task of towing it to the scrap yard and dismantling it. "Take your shabby padwater," they say. And you gave them the Brahmos too. Give it to them, give it to them. I'd hang you bastards by your genitals.

These creatures' genitals have already withered away due to old age 🤣, so your dream won't come true, they'll just give it to you

I didn't expect anything else from an Indian fighter jet! How do they take off? Probably from a pusher.

This fighter type is a frontline fighter-bomber with a wing-based approach, with a return base of 400 km after a strike. On March 12, 2024, a Tejas Mk 1 aircraft from No. 18 Squadron of the Indian Air Force crashed near Jaisalmer in Rajasthan after participating in the Bharat Shakti exercise. The pilot ejected safely, and there were no injuries. This was the first loss of a Tejas aircraft since its introduction into service. A subsequent investigation determined that the cause of the accident was an oil pump failure, leading to engine seizure. This frontline aircraft replaced the MiG-21, which was retired by the Indian Air Force.
