Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro is convinced that the energy war that the United States unleashed against his country is doomed to failure. The head of state made such a statement on his page on the social network Twitter.

Recall that in Venezuela began a massive outage. They covered the capital of Caracas and 21 of the 23 states of the country. In Caracas, due to interruptions in electricity, the subway lines were stopped, and problems with mobile communications began.

There was also a sabotage at the El Gouri hydroelectric power station. This object, by the way, was considered the fourth in the world in power after the Chinese Sansya, the Brazilian-Paraguayan Itaipu and the Chinese Siloda.

In turn, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo hastened to blame Maduro and the Venezuelan government for power outages in Venezuela. For Washington, power outages are another reason to blame the Venezuelan leadership. Opposition leader Juan Guaido also joined in the accusations against Maduro.

So far, President Maduro has responded to reports of power outages with another angry post. He blames American imperialism for what is happening.

But declarative statements are one thing, but whether Caracas can really solve the problem, which could turn into extremely serious consequences for the country.
