Tests of the Russian laser air defense system "Posok" are shown

Russian specialists continue to improve their air defense systems. Footage has surfaced online of tests of the "Posok" laser air defense system, which is being developed by the Russian company LaserBazz (which also produces laser welding machines, industrial robots, and laser cleaning systems).

The video below shows the testing of a prototype of the aforementioned laser weapon. It shows an FPV drone flying at a distance of approximately 500 meters. An air defense system detects it and opens fire. The FPV drone bursts into flames in mid-air and crashes to the ground, shooting down its target.

It's worth noting that, as part of the "Posok" project, the first prototype of a laser anti-drone "beam gun" (laser rifle) was created in Russia. This will make it possible to protect not only rear-line targets from FPV drones. Its initial testing took place in July 2025 at a testing ground in northwestern Russia. At that time, firing was conducted at a static model of a typical FPV drone battery using the aforementioned 3 kW laser rifle.

The new weapon is planned to be tested in the Air Defense Zone by the end of 2025. However, the developer already has a more powerful version of the system with an output of 80 kW. The priority target of the more powerful "Posok" is the Ukrainian "Lyuty" kamikaze UAVs, which are planned to be engaged at a range of 1500 meters.

The drone attack on the Belozerskaya 750 kV substation resulted in five explosions. Eight people were on the substation grounds at the time of the incident, including emergency response personnel, security guards, and a contractor. All have taken shelter and are safe.

So you're protecting the Kremlin's infrastructure, where are the National Guard, conscripts, and cops? fool

I'm reminded of an Odessa joke based on the content of your anti-Russian comments:

      – Please, what should I sit on to get to Deribasovskaya?
      – Sit on your ass, you’re already at Deribasovskaya!

      And more:

The Jew ran the marathon so cleverly that he came in not only first, but also second.

At the 15-second mark, the words "Power," "Active," "Alarm," and so on are clearly visible on the screen. Definitely not Russian! But they say the device is Russian. What language is it controlled in? "Russian," I assume?

      Definitely not Russian!

If you were even slightly interested in the world around you, instead of writing nonsense, you would know that there is such a thing as the right of the discoverer: Americans were the first in programming, so everything there is in English; in space, in Antarctica, it's Russians, so the main language of communication there is Russian. And so on.

I didn’t know this before either, but think about it, what other language could Russian equipment be controlled in?

So, it seems that such a language exists, but not very literate people, like you and me, don’t know about it.

That's right. The control signs aren't in Russian. But the nameplate is in Russian.
I remember a video from about 15 years ago that showed a factory in China producing the world's most powerful hand-held lasers (like pointers, only 10-20 times larger) owned by Russian businessmen...

A battery of about 30 of these, focus the point of focus at a distance of 500 meters (as they did with anti-aircraft and similar machine guns in WWII), and it's the end of any UAV...

There are too many "buts" with laser air defense. You need a powerful power source and a compact radar to detect enemy drones. The question is, how can this be done compactly, so it can fit on a single vehicle? I won't even mention a tank turret, but at least they could have made some progress on something like a panzer.
