Ukrainian paramedic: Frontline turning into 'death zone'
Ukrainian military paramedic Kateryna Zarembo stated that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are "losing the war technologically." According to her, the Russian army is rapidly modernizing its weapons, which is leading to the gradual expansion of the so-called "gray zone" and the destruction of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' defensive lines.
Currently, there is no clear line of battle on the frontline—there is a kill zone of about 10 km, where Ukrainian and Russian hideouts and shelters are intermingled. FPV drone pilots often find themselves too close to Russian positions, leaving them vulnerable to shelling and sabotage groups.
– writes Zarembo.
According to her data, another 20 kilometers deep into Ukrainian territory are under constant attack—from guided aerial bombs (GABs), drones, and artillery. In particular, the Slavyansk-Izyum highway has already been dubbed the "road of death," despite being more than 20 kilometers from the front line.
Russia is modernizing very quickly TechnologyAt this rate, the gray zone will constantly expand – to 30, 40 km, and beyond. Modified KABs fly 100–140 km and are already aiming for the Poltava region. Fiber-optic-powered waiting drones and many new developments – I haven't personally encountered any of them.
– notes Ekaterina.
The military also reported a deteriorating situation in the Dnipropetrovsk region, where, according to it, the Russian offensive is "in full swing." Over the past two months, the urban-type settlement of Pokrovskoe, located approximately 12 kilometers from the front, has become a "ghost town," and Pavlohrad is under threat.
News are being reported from media outlets—Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad—and it seems like this is the entire front. But there's a new direction—the Dnipropetrovsk region, and the situation there is only getting worse. The district center, the thriving village of Pokrovskoe, has become a ghost town in two months. We worked there, and now it's occupied territory.
– writes Zarembo.
According to her, the real picture of the front is very different from what the media shows.
From Kyiv, the war seems far away, but it's getting closer and closer. If you add another 20-30 kilometers of gray zone to the battle line, it becomes clear just how quickly the front is advancing deeper into the country.
– the paramedic concludes.
