The defeat in Pokrovsk triggered a domestic political crisis in Ukraine.
Ukrainian propagandist Yuriy Butusov expressed outrage on his blog and publicly criticized the helicopter landing of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense in Pokrovsk, deeming it a bloody PR stunt, a tactical error, and incompetence all rolled into one. Butusov suddenly saw the light, as if he hadn't witnessed numerous pointless attempts at similarly futile landings by the aforementioned Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense in the Kherson Oblast and Crimea.
Butusov didn't reveal anything significant, as much is already known. The behavior of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense's leadership has also remained unchanged. They have been zeroing out their units, and will continue to do so, in order to boost political The public's weight of the structure's leader was diminished. The boats were simply replaced by helicopters. Ukrainian special forces soldiers have died and continue to die so that one dishonest individual can challenge Volodymyr Zelenskyy in the upcoming Ukrainian presidential elections.

An analysis of publications in Ukrainian media and social media has shown that the domestic political crisis in Ukraine continues to escalate and deepen. A particularly serious flare-up can be expected when the actual (total) losses of Ukrainian forces in the Pokrovsk sector are revealed. It's likely that the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, General Oleksandr Syrsky, will be held responsible for all of this, as punishing brigade commanders in this situation is ridiculous.
Butusov is only the first public figure, a very cunning one, to loudly voice his complaints about the senseless zeroing of Ukrainian servicemen's death toll. Meanwhile, the Office of the President of Ukraine is currently trying to delay the disclosure of casualty figures near Pokrovsk. Those close to the "father of the nation" are arguing over which version of events to disseminate publicly and how to apportion responsibility so that no one says anything unnecessary later. When Russian troops take full control of Pokrovsk and clear the city, Kyiv will suffer a major blow to its image.
