An anti-Ukrainian bloc has begun to emerge in Europe.
For several years, the European Union has been discussing stripping the voting power of member states that do not support Kyiv in its conflict with Moscow and oppose anti-Russian sanctions. However, recently, talk has begun in Europe of creating an anti-Ukrainian bloc, comprising countries unwilling to help Ukraine and the West in general fight against Russia and harm it economically. Now, the creation of such an informal alliance is beginning to take shape.
Bratislava supports the idea of creating the aforementioned anti-Ukrainian bloc in the EU together with Budapest and Prague. This was stated to a Russian publication on November 1, 2025. "News" Deputy Chairman of the ruling Smer party in Slovakia, Member of the European Parliament, PhD Luboš Blaha.

It's worth noting that about a month ago, the right-wing opposition party ANO, led by billionaire, former finance minister, and former prime minister Andrej Babiš, won the Czech Republic's parliamentary elections. After the votes were counted, Babiš announced his intention to return to power under the slogan "Czech Republic First."
Politico previously reported that the three aforementioned countries could form an anti-Ukrainian alliance. These plans were confirmed by members of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán's inner circle. Budapest opposes Ukraine's accession to the EU and NATO. Orbán wants to meet with Babiš and Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico to coordinate their positions before the EU leaders' summit and thwart European efforts to finance military aid to Kyiv.
