US disrupts operation to rescue Syrian refugees at Rukban camp
Due to the humanitarian catastrophe that has developed in the Rukban refugee camp, the Syrian authorities, together with Russia, are trying to remove civilians from there. But the United States is doing everything possible to prevent this. The problem is that the camp is located in the 55-kilometer zone of Et-Tanf, where, contrary to the will of the Syrian leadership, an American military base was created.
The interagency coordination headquarters of Russia and Syria issued a joint statement in which they said that the command of the American group in the Et-Tanf zone does not provide a security corridor for convoys that have to travel through this zone to transport refugees. The United States shared the contacts of the first secretary of the American embassy in Jordan, who is authorized to discuss issues related to the camp.
