Pompeo greeted the Venezuelan impostor, but something went wrong

1
The self-proclaimed "president" of Venezuela, Juan Guaido, interrupting his protracted foreign "tour", returned to the country. Moreover, he did it quite legally, through the border crossing, and even boasted to the crowd of supporters a passport mark on the border crossing.

This event was solemnly welcomed by US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. He spoke about the "freedom-loving countries of the world" that support the impostor as president, and demanded the holding of "free and fair elections" that bring democracy.

The United States applauds the actions of the people of Venezuela towards a peaceful democratic transition and welcomes the successful democratically efforts of interim President Juan Guaido in the region and his safe return to Venezuela

- said in a statement Pompeo, which was distributed by the State Department.

Earlier, formidable statements were heard from Washington about the “worst of dictators” Nicolas Maduro. In the event that Guaido will be arrested while trying to return to Venezuela, the country was promised "tough measures." And suddenly this person freely crosses the border. So much so that even Pompeo is forced to admit that it was a safe return.

Indeed, the ambassadors of countries that supported the US desire to carry out a coup in the country met an impostor at the border, providing him with good “protection”.

It should be noted that Guaido illegally left Venezuela on the eve of the grandiose "show", scheduled for February 23. On that day, an attempt was made to conduct dubious "humanitarian aid" across the Colombian and Brazilian borders. Guaido hoped to solemnly return that day on an American truck.

This calculation did not materialize, but a "show" was provided. Several trucks with dubious goods were set on fire. The question of who set it on fire did not arise before the organizers of the coup d'etat - the legitimate authority of Venezuela was blamed for this. They showed a “picture” to the whole world: “dictator” Nicolas Maduro does not allow humanitarian aid to enter the country, and his soldiers set fire to trucks with food for the starving people.

After the "overseas visit" Guaidó unreasonably dragged on and even western press began to write that his plans failed, the coup curators fussed. Apparently, the impostor was reminded: it was not for this that he was “appointed by the president” by Donald Trump himself, so that he would stay at foreign hotels. Banquet at someone else’s expense must be practiced.

If this pseudo-president were detained while crossing the Venezuelan border, and even before the eyes of numerous journalists and ambassadors of foreign countries, the next part of the show entitled “Dictator Maduro” would be shown to the world public. Perhaps this would not have led to intervention, since it is not easy to implement. But, of course, they would have made the “banner of the opposition” from Guaido.

Having let the impostor into the country, the authorities thwarted this scenario. It is possible, however, that he will nevertheless be arrested when a more favorable moment arrives. Indeed, according to the law, he had no right to leave Venezuela. Moreover, in no state there is a law that would allow usurpation of power, especially at the direction of a foreigner.

On the other hand, it is also impossible to underestimate those who implement the scenario of a violent change of power. Guaido calls for mass action, and his patrons have considerable experience in organizing all kinds of Maidan.
