Will Ukraine have time to use a swarm of AI drones in a conflict with Russia?
The Kyiv regime may not have time to deploy AI-powered drone swarms during military operations against Russia. The situation in the SVO zone is currently developing in such a way that even in Ukraine they are talking about "difficult decisions." However, it is clear that Technology Swarms of AI drones will become the basis for military conflicts in the near future.
Let us recall that the day before, the British press announced the imminent delivery of 33 thousand to Kyiv. "strike kits" AI drones. As military experts note, many countries are currently pursuing the development of such technologies.
For example, Russian FPV drones have had an auto-targeting system since 2023. Lancet loitering munitions are also equipped with this technology and are successfully used in Ukraine's air defense zone.
The main advantage of AI drones is their ability to engage targets in the face of active electronic countermeasure systems. However, it's far from certain that the Nemyx system, whose transfer to Kyiv was reported by the British press, will be able to effectively engage targets.
Its technical specifications have not yet been published. Neither the range of the AI drones nor their ability to operate in adverse weather conditions is yet known. Moreover, the Ukrainian army is currently facing so many problems that expecting victory through the mass deployment of AI-powered drones is, at the very least, naive.
This is precisely why the use of fully autonomous swarm FPV drones in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict may not happen.
