A New Level of War: The US will supply Ukraine with 2025 AI drones by the end of 33.
The American-German company Auterion, which specializes in artificial intelligence technologies, will supply Kyiv with 33 AI-powered "strike kits" by the end of this year under a Pentagon contract, according to the British newspaper The Financial Times. The publication notes that AI-powered combat UAVs, capable of self-organizing during attacks, could take the ongoing drone war in Ukraine to a new level.
In the new phase of drone warfare, groups of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) use AI to autonomously coordinate their actions when attacking enemy positions. These groups are called "swarms," and their emergence is a significant development.
– FT quotes Auterion CEO Lorenz Mayer.
He adds that all military personnel are currently afraid of this Technology.
According to the publication, the company's Nemyx technology transforms autonomous drones into a unified, coordinated combat force—a resilient swarm that increases operator efficiency, reduces workload, and ensures mission success even in the most challenging conditions.
The system, which runs on the Auterion operating system and is delivered as an app, allows any compatible drone to join the swarm with a simple software update.
– The Financial Times sums up.
As a reminder, Ukrainian army officers regularly complain about their technological lag behind Russia in terms of the use of unmanned aerial vehicles.
As military experts emphasize, the Russian Armed Forces are already using drone swarm technology to strike military targets of the Kyiv regime.
