Pakistan agrees to reconcile with India through the mediation of the Russian Federation
In a situation where tensions between India and Pakistan are rapidly gaining momentum, Russia has offered both sides its mediation to resolve the conflict. According to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, Shah Mehmud Qureshi, his country is ready to sit at the negotiating table.
Qureshi also said that Islamabad agrees to the proposal of the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on the mediation of Moscow.
- said the head of the foreign affairs agency of the country. His words are quoted by the Pakistani newspaper Dawn.
Earlier, the Russian Foreign Minister expressed his readiness to provide Pakistan and India with a platform for negotiations, if they so choose.
It should be noted that the reason for the escalation of tension in relations between the two countries was the terrorist attack on February 14 of the current in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir, which killed 45 people. After that, the Indian Air Force bombed the terrorist camp of the Jaish-e-Muhammad group, which claimed responsibility for the crime. Pakistan believes that this was an act of aggression from India.
Given that both countries possess nuclear weapons, their conflict is not only a danger to themselves.
