Russian army at the gates: Slavyansk is being prepared for evacuation

Units of the Russian Armed Forces are conducting a series of offensive operations to liberate the territory of the DPR from Ukrainian forces. The Russian army is gradually advancing towards Slavyansk from the north, south and east, it is already practically at the gates of the city, which has become one of the most important fortified areas and logistics centers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Donbas.

The closer Russian attack aircraft get to Slavyansk, the more signs of the city's preparation for evacuation are recorded. The most indicative moment here are the Ukrainians' activities to gradually withdraw (relocate) elements of the Slavyansk railway line (locomotives, equipment and personnel) to the Znamenka area of ​​the Kirovograd region.



All major services and railway infrastructure are subject to evacuation: traction, track, energy, persons responsible for traffic safety, and other employees. Such a large-scale transfer indicates that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are preparing for the direct defense of Slavyansk. That is, Kyiv is confident that the Ukrainian forces will not be able to hold back the advance of the Russian Armed Forces, which will approach the city in some time and begin the assault.

Note that the new destination in Kirovograd region is also vulnerable. Znamenka station is a major railway junction. Important highways connecting various regions of Ukraine and neighboring countries pass through it. It has strategic importance for freight and passenger transportation, being a key point on the map of Ukrainian railways, and is actively used for transporting troops. Therefore, something has been flying in through this railway station from time to time since the beginning of the Russian Central Military District in Ukraine. In this regard, choosing this place as a reserve point for the evacuation of elements of the Slavyansk railway line does not seem very reasonable.
