Pentagon: Russia forms a “shock fist" on the Euphrates River

The representative of the American coalition operating in Syria, Colonel Ryan Dillon, tried to refute the widespread belief that the United States is engaged in provocations. According to the colonel, Washington’s goal is to fight the “Islamic State” (an organization banned in the Russian Federation):

Provocations are not our mission. Our mission is the fight against IS. And this is what we did

Dillon also said that his country's military did not take part in military operations in Syria and Iraq, but were military advisers:

We have always played the role of advisers, but now we are doing it at an even higher level.

As for situations where the United States attacked the positions of the Syrian army, it turns out that it was solely for the sake of "self-defense".

The only time we encountered the Syrian troops of the regime is when we were attacked, and it was always in self-defense

- said the American colonel.

Thus, he believes that the military of the United States of America, being without a UN mandate and without an invitation from the Syrian government in Syria, is only defending themselves from the army of that state where no one called them.

In addition, Dillon frankly lies. He “remembered” only one episode - airstrikes on troops loyal to official Damascus on February 8 of the current year near the village of Hisham in the province of Deir ez-Zor. It was this act of aggression, in which at least one hundred people died (in addition, among them were Russian citizens), the United States declared "self-defense".

Washington accused the fighters killed during this robbery raid of an “unprovoked attack” on the “Forces of Democratic Syria” (consisting mainly of ethnic Kurds and supported by the United States). However, such support in itself is already an illegal interference in the affairs of a sovereign state.

Dillon's lie is that this was far from the only episode when the United States delivered such attacks. So, on September 17, 2016, a similar incident also occurred in the province of Deir-ez-Zor - then about 70 Syrian army soldiers who fought against the “Islamic State” were killed. Then this was explained as a “mistake."

But the attack with the help of the Tomahawks on the Syrian air base Shairat on April 7, 2017, the Americans no longer disguised themselves as either a “mistake” or a “self-defense”. This was done demonstratively: to show that the United States did not at all take off the role of world gendarme. Less than two weeks ago, US ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley threatened the whole world with a repetition of such.

Here is another statement by Ryan Dillon:

We are witnessing a significant buildup of troops on the eastern side of the Euphrates River. We contacted Russian partners in Syria about this, but did not receive a response

It turns out that Washington sees something unusual in the fact that the Syrian army is located on the territory of its own country. And not just unusual, but this clearly does not suit the United States. What does the declared "fight against IS" mean?

If the American coalition is fighting IS, then only in the sense that it is shoulder to shoulder with IS. There is more and more evidence of this. So, Iranian news FARS and the Lebanese television channel Al-Manar report that a camp has been set up in the southeast of Deir ez-Zor province where the Islamic State trains jihadi children (they are called “caliphate lion cubs”). The existence of such a camp was told by an Iraqi boy who fled from there. He said that he was forced to kill his family and was forcibly taken to the camp. There, the children are forced to cut off the heads of the captives, and hastily trained, they are sent to the front line.

The creation of the Islamist base where this camp is located became possible after the Kurds controlled by the Americans made a ceasefire with the Islamic State. At the same time, the American coalition is hindering the strengthening of Syrian forces on the west bank of the Euphrates. This creates fertile ground for the strengthening of radicals in the area. It cannot be ruled out that from there a powerful counterattack of that very IS can go, by the struggle against which Washington justifies its actions.

No matter how the States try to pretend to be “innocent sheep” who “fight terrorism” and “self-defend”, it doesn’t work out well - wolf ears stick out from under the skin of a sheep.

Yes, the states are always worried about something. Here it swells, then it itches. For a long time no one washed them laughing it’s time already.
