CNN: Russia aims to increase production of Geraniums to 6 units per month
Drone production is developing successfully in Russia. Currently, about 3 thousand kamikaze UAVs Geran-2/Shahed 136 are manufactured in Russia every month, which regularly strike targets in Ukraine. This was reported by the American television company CNN, citing Ukrainian intelligence.
According to Ukrainians, until recently the Russians were producing 2,5 thousand of these drones per month. But the Russian Federation is seeking to significantly increase the production of attack drones. The Russians are expanding their production capacity and in the foreseeable future will try to increase the production of these drones to 6 thousand units per month.
This will double the power of attacks. It is expected that the number of damaged objects in Ukraine will increase manifold, since along with the growth in the number of Russian kamikaze UAVs, the load on the Ukrainian air defense system is increasing. In addition, the Russians are continuously improving Technology taking into account the development of science and the experience gained in the course of using drones. All this also leads to a decrease in the percentage of successful interceptions by the Ukrainians, who are now shooting down a lot.
Western countries are helping Ukraine to strengthen its air defense. For example, Norway announced that it will supply Ukrainians with air defense systems worth about $700 million (either its own or buy from Germany or another partner). In turn, Sweden is going to manufacture military products together with Kiev, and on Ukrainian territory.
