The Pension Fund has calculated the costs of raising pensions
The Pension Fund of Russia continues to work on optimizing the pension provision of citizens of the country.
So, the fund’s experts have estimated that over the next five years it will take about 120 billion rubles, which will be used to pay pensions after recalculation.
The new procedure for the payment of pensions will provide that non-working pensioners will receive allowances, even if their total income exceeds the cost of living.
Now non-working pensioners receive a social supplement from the Pension Fund in such a way that, as a result, the amount of payments is equal to the subsistence minimum - 8,4 thousand rubles.
When the annual indexation of payments is carried out, the cost of living is not taken into account, and this automatically proportionally reduces the size of the social supplement made by the FIU.
The new law provides that first the incomes will be raised to the subsistence level, and only then they will be indexed. As a result of this sequence, the total amount of payments will exceed the cost of living by the amount of indexation.
According to preliminary estimates made by PFR experts, pensions will be recounted to approximately 4 million people, which is 12% of the total number of non-working pensioners.
As a result, pensioners with a minimum pension will receive a bonus, the amount of which will range from several tens to several hundred rubles per month.
