Gerasimov - Danford: When politicians are silent, generals say
According to the White House administration, the communication between the head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russia, First Deputy Secretary of Defense General of the Army Valery Gerasimov and the chairman of the Committee of the Chiefs of Staff of the United States Army General Joseph Dunford is a useful communication channel and is important in connection with that generals openly discuss both problematic issues and areas of potential cooperation.
At the same time, General Paul Selva, the Deputy Committee of the Chiefs of Staff, denies that he knows anything about the upcoming contacts between Generals Gerasimov and Danford.
