Gerasimov - Danford: When politicians are silent, generals say

At the same time, General Paul Selva, the Deputy Committee of the Chiefs of Staff, denies that he knows anything about the upcoming contacts between Generals Gerasimov and Danford. Selva noted that the fact that he was not aware of the meetings of the generals did not mean at all that they would not be.
The chairman of the KNSH emphasized that the ability of Russian and American generals to speak openly about problem areas in relation to the two countries and find a solution is very useful.

According to the available official information of both the Russian and American sides, Gerasimov and Dunford held telephone consultations several times only in January. By 2017, the Pentagon confirms about ten conversations between generals.
