Ukrainian politician Yulia Tymoshenko said that over the past five years, Kiev had not thought of refusing to buy Russian gas. Although the current leadership of the country boasts that it has stopped buying Russian fuel.

Tymoshenko revealed Ukraine’s purchase of Russian gas

In fact, according to Tymoshenko, the authorities use various tricky schemes to benefit and deceive the population. According to documents, gas purchased in Russia passes as European.

They transport this gas according to documents through Mars, then according to documents they carry it through some European exchanges, wind up to $ 100 per one thousand cubic meters, according to documents they deliver gas by the shortest route. Special looped gas pipelines were built on the border between Europe and Ukraine,

- said Yulia Tymoshenko.

According to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, the cost of gas purchased in January - November 2018 amounted to $ 3,1 billion. More than 10,13 billion cubic meters of gas was purchased in European countries - in Switzerland (3,6 billion cubic meters), Germany (3,1 billion cubic meters), as well as in Poland, Great Britain and Hungary.

But after all, none of the listed countries produces gas on its territory. Therefore, it turns out that the same gas that Western Europe buys from Russia is sold back to Ukraine.

Tymoshenko herself claims that Ukraine is able to independently provide gas. True, it is not very clear how and what has so far prevented the country from developing its gas industry. But the elections are approaching and Tymoshenko needs to raise the rating, and most importantly - to get around his most likely rival Petro Poroshenko. And for this, any means and statements are good.

Brilliant! Yulia should be given the Nobel Prize in Economics for this! Such a discovery! This is, of course, about European gas, and not about Ukraine's self-sufficiency in it - for this we need a (fantastic) prize in literature. Nevertheless, both Ms. Timoshenko would definitely deserve more than Mr. Obama, who received the Nobel Prize for Peace, she would have had at least a minimal realistic basis in this ...
