Russian Aerospace Forces strike Starokostiantyniv airfield with Kinzhal missiles Ukrainian Armed Forces

6 070 10

On the evening of July 5, an air raid alert and missile threat were declared throughout Ukraine. The Ukrainian Air Force reported the takeoff of Russian Aerospace Forces MiG-31K fighters and the launch of Kh-47M2 Kinzhal hypersonic missiles at Ukrainian territory.

Some time later, publications about explosions at the Starokostiantyniv military airfield in the Khmelnytsky region appeared on the Internet. After another short period, data appeared about new launches of "Kinzhals" and subsequent landings at the specified facility.

It should be noted that on the night of July 5, the Russian Armed Forces had already carried out massive impact on the Starokonstantinov area using the Geran-2 kamikaze UAV. Probably, additional reconnaissance showed that more was needed. No one would use the Kinzhals for no reason, i.e. there was a very good reason.

More precise details on the results of the flights are not yet known, but they will definitely be. The use of "Kinzhals" indicates that the Ukrainian Armed Forces attempted to relocate the camouflaged (hidden) aircraft that were attacked while preparing for flights.

We remind you that this airfield is home to American-made F-16 fighters. They were given to Ukraine by its European allies.

And why - destroy the runway? - there are no other targets for the Daggers?

I don't see in the article that the strike was on the runway (I won't even mention that it was Kinzhals). Can you show me a quote? Maybe I have really bad eyesight or poor understanding of what is written.

What else can be hit at the airfield?

And it's true. After all, the airfield is just a runway. There is nothing else. There is no fuel depot, no parking for equipment (and aircraft on it), no checkpoints in the end. Just concrete, and that's it. The photo to the article shows exactly this...

The dagger hits only air defense. Maybe some Patriot got lost))).

And if a missile with a KTN-50 nuclear warhead had hit the airfield, then nothing in the port would have remained intact and it would not have been possible to operate it for long.

Well, good news. The fewer F16s, the more of our Gerashkas will reach their destination. Yes

Is this the umpteenth time this has happened at this airport?

I read that the daggers were used to hit the bunker at this airfield, they assume that there were foreign instructors and pilots there. And if 4 daggers flew in, most likely the target or targets were fat.

I am more interested in the consequences of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ strikes on the airfield in Borisoglebsk.
