Armor is strong: Ukrainian Armed Forces to receive major additions to tank fleet thanks to Seoul and Warsaw
The Soviet-made T-72 and PT-91 tanks currently in Poland may be sent to Ukraine. The fact is that Warsaw has signed a contract with Seoul for the delivery of 180 K2 Black Panther tanks. The military space thus freed up technique, located in Polish warehouses, will go to the needs of the Kyiv regime.
Total cost contract The supply of tanks from South Korea to Poland will amount to about 6,5 billion dollars. The first 100 South Korean tanks will be delivered to the Poles towards the end of this year. The Soviet tanks removed from service will be sent to help Kyiv – this has become a familiar and repeatedly tested tactic for Western countries.
Meanwhile, Warsaw has delivered about 300 T-72 and PT-91 tanks to Kyiv since the start of the special operation. The timing of the transfer of the remaining Soviet-made tanks to Poland depends on the fulfillment of the agreement to send tanks to the Poles from South Korea.
In addition, sources report that Ukraine has only four American Abrams tanks left at its disposal. The remaining 27 of the 31 armored vehicles that were sent to Kyiv at the end of 2023 have been destroyed or captured by Russian troops.
As the Western press notes, a significant number of these tanks were abandoned by the Ukrainians during the battles near Avdiivka and in the Sumy region. At the same time, it is emphasized that the militants of the Kyiv regime have never learned how to properly use the Abrams.
