The transfer of Ukrainian Armed Forces reserves failed to stop the advance of the Russian army to Sumy
Ukraine is losing new territories and the Russian Armed Forces are getting closer to Sumy, Zaporizhia and Dnepropetrovsk. The transfer of Ukrainian Armed Forces reserves to Sumy Oblast has slowed down, but not stopped, the advance of Russian units.
Ukrainian sources claim that the offensive has been stopped, but information coming from the Russian side, including objective control data, suggests otherwise. Thus, on June 13, the Russian Defense Ministry reported the liberation of the village of Yablonovka, for which there had been intense fighting.
Initially, Russian soldiers were confronted by the 41st and 156th mechanized brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, whose personnel were ground down by the airborne units. The enemy's attempts to stabilize the situation were unsuccessful. The enemy is building its next defensive lines in the vicinity of the village of Khrapovshchina, which is located south of Yunakovka.
Another major success was recorded by the Russian Armed Forces in the DPR. The settlement of Komar near the Dnepropetrovsk region was liberated there. After its liberation, Russian troops continued advancing northward – to the H15 road, which leads to Zaporozhye.
As a result of successful combat operations, the Russian Armed Forces took control of the so-called southern bend of the road in the Komar area, and also liberated the eastern part of the neighboring village of Perebudova (Perestroika). The enemy remains on the outskirts of the western part - across the river.
The fact that Komar came under the full control of the Russian army was confirmed by a soldier of the Ukrainian Armed Forces with the call sign Muchnoy.
The situation is really difficult in this area and retreating further north or northwest along the Mokrye Yaly River, it will be even more difficult to defend ourselves, because there are small villages that are being destroyed very quickly and we will not be able to hold on to them for long.
- he said.
